Just finished paper work and pick it up from dealer in NJ for premium model. (no DVD, no nav. no touring) $30,650 (incl. Destination) $2145.5 (NJ sales TAX) $ 298 Documentation $351 Registration Total $ 33,444.5 OTD If you want to share your info, specify like this to be helpful to others. I owe a lot from this forum so I am sharing. Try to get 2.9% rather than 4.9%. you will save more than $1000. ( I failed to get it. 4.9%/5 years) --Overall experience Springfield-- heard many bad things. I got a quote also. try to contact with final price, but can't be reached. so I didn't even visit there. Park Ave.-- Usually about $900 higher than lowest. Can't rely on 100%. One dealer contacted me with price. When I try to finalize, he sent email with $1000 higher price and just said he doesn't remember or it might be a mistake. bridgewater, Mahwah, Ramsey, Greenwich CT-- not cheap. ----- I don't want to post my dealer shop because i am not working for them.

I couldn't find a seller on eBay of mats for less than 90 bucks. Do you have the name of the eBay seller or the link? Thanks.

We decided on the MDX Touring over the Pilot EX-L AWD. This board was very helpful for determining fair pricing, so I wanted to post our price and fees paid. (The one critique/comment I have about this board is that it's confusing when posters don't indicate if their price includes destination or not. Not including this information represents a potential $615 pricing discrepancy.) Vehicle: 2006 Acura MDX Touring (no Nav or DVD) with 7 miles on the odometer. Date of Purchase: 5 Sep 06 Price: $34,100 (including destination) Dealer Fees: $45 NY State Fees: $22 CT State Registration Fee: $155 CT Sales Tax: 6% Financing: 2.9% for 36 months.

Replying to: pcsd (Sep 05, 2006 5:15 pm) What a coincidence ! I picked up a red rock Touring from Mission Viejo, too, last Saturday. Hoehn didn't have the color I wanted, and Mission Viejo (MV) did. MV gave me the lowest quote, $33,095 + TLL for the Touring. The next lowest quote I got was from Tustin ($33,217 + TLL). I thought you wanted to buy in San Diego. That's why I said to try Hoehn. I showed Kearny Mesa the quote I got from MV. Their Internet guy said that his mananger won't give up the dealer hold back ($1500). So he told me to drive up to OC, which I did. So I took the family and left SD at 8am. Got to MV around 9am. Didn't leave there until 1pm. They had to prep the vehicle. I was told there were (are) some water marks on the roof and it took a long time to get them off. They finally released the vehicle because I was waiting too long. But I have to bring it back so they can detail it properly. Plus, I'm getting the Teflon paint coating treatment. So I have to bring it back anyway. I concur, I would recommend Acura of Mission Viejo to anyone looking to buy an Acura in the SD and OC areas. I had a very pleasant experience there. Congrats on your purchase. |

Replying to: udhawan (Sep 06, 2006 7:12 am) Sept 5, 2006 from Open Road Acura in Wayne, NJ Price: $37,000 inluding $615 destination fee Document fees: $ 298 NJ Sales tax: $ 1750 (after deduction of trade-in) NJ Reg: $ 351 Tire fee: $ 7.50 Total: $39,406 and a voucher for free 7,500 mi service (about $260) Financing: 4.9%/60 months Montclair's price was $37,985 + fees = $40,098 Springfield's price was $37,639 + fees (didn't get details) Montclair's sales department was a little more impressive (respectful of time, detailed computerized quotes print-out with all figures); they got me set up for test drive, demo'd the car's features, evaluated my trade-in while I was out and talked numbers and gave me three print-outs all within an hour visit; but they wouldn't budge & had a take it or leave it attitude and tried to talk me into leasing instead of working with their numbers; Wayne took longer than I would have liked, I had to repeat what I was looking for even though I had sent in a detailed quote request and had their quote in hand (their internet person didn't give this to the salesperson). Salesperson kept talking too long before I got the bottom line out of them, but finally worked it out. Their general manager made the final pitch about their after-sale treatment of customers and threw in the free first service so we went for it. Hope this is helpful |

Replying to: udhawan (Sep 06, 2006 7:12 am) I contacted a variety of Central NJ dealers via the Internet; the cheapest quote I got was from Open Road in East Brunswick; they gave me an Instaquote certificate for $36616, which I printed and took to Clinton Acura, which is closer to where I live. (I had also had a negative experience with Open Road in the past, so I did not necessarily want to go there). Clinton Acura agreed to match the offer, and had the MDX in the color I wanted; I also traded in a minivan that they gave me Kelley Blue Book value on. The entire experience was very simple; the people I dealt with were all pleasant and professional, with no bait-and-switch tactics or run around. The whole interaction took a total of less than an hour and a half from the time I showed up to the time I arranged the 3 year/2.9% financing and drove away in the MDX. It may be possible to get a better deal, but I thought it was worth at least a couple hundred dollars to buy from closer to home, from a dealership that, unlike many of the others, I have not heard or seen anything bad about. |

Hey Guys! Thanks for the help along the way while researching prices! I ended up going for the base model after negotiating for the Touring from the Internet Mgr. Here is the deal that I got on Sun 9/3: Car- $30,900 (with Destination included) Fees-$499.50 Tax- $1,675 (6.5%) Tag- $100 * I traded and got KBB value (very fair since I knew the value of my current car)on an older car. Final price $29,281 they did have financing but paid cash-he mentioned that the financing while be around longer. FYI, He quoted me $33,850 (with destination charge included for the Touring) He also threw in the all weather blk rubber mats, cargo liner, wheel locks and a discount on the roof rack. Gatorland Acura Gainesville - easy and nice going no games. Thanks again for all your help along the way! Good luck to all. Heather |
