Replying to: greenavenue (Aug 29, 2006 8:00 am) They wouldn't do as much discount for the Nav. and DVD version as they are more popular than the plain touring. Man, I wish there is more competition in Memphis though. It would benefit all buyers! |

Replying to: jazzeum (Sep 01, 2006 12:49 pm) I expected some sort of shady tatics from Springfield (mostly alerted by some of the fishy traps in the email exchanges where they tried every possible way to avoid responding to clearly stated terms). But when I eventually received all the terms on an email together with back and forth history, I felt comfortable that I wouldn't get screwed. Everything was on track when I met the internet manager in the showroom. But soon after he made himself unavailable, things went downhill from there.. Most dealers these days will give you the run around and try to trick you in one form or another. Springfield is definitely in a different league and went over-the-top. Having read the previous posts, I was definitely on guard all the way thru and expected things to go wrong at some point.. I guess the bottom line is expect the worst and do not trust them until the car is picked up. That's just the reality. If you want to save the hassle, buy from somewhere else, the prices are pretty leveled in NJ. GL all

Replying to: 06mdxnj (Sep 01, 2006 3:30 pm) We bought one of the first 2001 MDX from them in at MSRP and have done all of our service there from day 1. They initiated our trading/buying a new one a few weeks ago. But the price was higher the $30,795 after a dozen phone calls and a lot of "outside involvement". Could you confirm that price to me that you got at Montclair Acura and if anyone else in the area has gotten a comprable or better price within 5o miles of Montclair, NJ. I would be deeply apprecative Mitchell |

Replying to: 06mdxnj (Sep 01, 2006 3:30 pm) We bought our MDX from Montclair Acura. They initiated our buying new 2006 to make up for past problems in servicing, radio, and other issues. They reluctently agreed to price for new 2006 MDX Premium of over $31+ to make up for trouble. It is important that I confirm that 06mdxnj and/or other folks paid $30,795 (plus protection package and oil change) for $30,795 in order to decide on if I could/should trust these folks. Thanks, Mitchell |
