Re: My experience with Smail Acura Dealer Greensburg PA [rajaks] by sl1288

I haven't had that experience yet, but I'm sure I'm about to since I will start my negotiations with the various Acura dealers in RI, CT and MA this week. I want the MDX Touring with Nav and RES and I will pay invoice ($39,827) -dealer incentive ($1000) - holdback ($1,194) = $37,633.
I'm sure "Joe" and some of the other "Joes" will mule and pull an attitude, but I don't care because my response will be as follows:
     1. There are 15 Acura dealers within a 100 mile radius of me. 2. Every one of them has a ton of MDXs in inventory that they haven't been able to move and they're paying interest on every month. 3. Gas prices are high and are going even higher for the summer. Sales of SUVs are way off. 4. No one buys cars in July when everyone around New England is on vacation. 5. The amount of MDXs they sell is directly related to the allotment of RDXs they will receive from Acura. 6. The 2006 MDX will be obsolete and worthless when the new generation comes out in October. 7. We are at the end of the month and the end of the quarter so you can get your "point" towards your month's numbers for Honda. (Each vehicle is worth a point. If the dealer meets or exceeds his point quota from Honda he gets a month end bonus)
If "Joe" tells me he doesn't work for free, my reply will be "you are on this deal because right now it's a buyer's market."
Of course I have the luxury of paying hard ball because I am surrounded by 15 dealers.

Pricing - Best Pricing/Incentives in Seattle area by bellevue22

Hi, I am looking to find the best pricing on a 2006 Acura MDX Touring with Nav.

Could you let me know the best pricing to expect or where to start in negotiating on this? It seems that the pricing I have seen so far is $4k off MSRP + $1000 over invoice.

What is the best pricing I should shoot for with a $3k trade in?

Your help is GREATLY appreciated ... I would like to buy one in the next 7-10 days.

Thanks!

PRICING - GOOD DEALS IN CINCINNATI AREA? by lm_cincy

I am looking to find a great price on a 2006 Acura MDX Touring. The MSRP on this SUV is $39,950.

I have been to both of the Cincinnati dealerships (Superior and Columbia), and they are telling me they cannot even sell it to me AT invoice ... both are about $600 over invoice.

What do I need to do or say to get a good deal or negotiate with them? I see others on this forum that are getting wonderful deals.

I would like to lease this car - 36 months / 12K miles/year.

Any help is appreciated. I would like to buy one this week.

THANK YOU!

looking for a deal for 4th of july by njcars1

I am looking to buy a mdx in nj/pa next week.
- nighthawk black with ebony interior
- base model

How do i go about doing a internet only purchase. Dont have the patience to go various dealers to haggle.

I see that there is a 2.9% apr deal going on. I was wondering if 32.5k is a decent offer for the above model ?

Also anyone tried the costco car purchase program ?

Is it good idea to wait couple of more months to get a better deal ?

Incentives in July?? by needmdx2006

The $1,000 dealer incentive last until 7/5/06. I'm hoping that this will increase in July. I've heard that the best time to buy a vehicle is July - October when dealerships are trying to clear their lots for new models. I think I'll pull the trigger next month on an Sage Brush Pearl MDX/NAVI.

When do you think is a better time to buy an MDX? In June (this week)when they're trying to make their quarter or in July when less people are shopping for cars

New Numbers for MDX by sl1288

I went to First Acura in Seekonk, MA today and worked with a salesman I know on prices for the MDX Touring w/ Nav and the MDX Touring w/ Nav & RES. They have over 50 MDXs on the lot and they want to move them.
The final numbers were $38, 248 for the Touring w/ Nav & RES, and $36,938 for the Touring w/ Nav. These prices include destination. There wasn't any back and forth because I had my numbers and their numbers and they knew I had both.
I'm still trying to figure out how "freq" got a quote for $37,700 for the Nav & RES.

I'm not sure how they can go below $500 under their cost after the dealer incentive and the holdback.
