A good story and a bad one... Tried to buy an MDX from Goodson in Irving, TX. Got every tactic in the book thrown at me - lies, bait&switch, the old "this is the only one in the country" line, aggression ...etc. Why I let it go that far, I don't know. Anyways - rude pricing manager, terrible experience. So, I read up this forum, pick up the phone and call David McDavid. Told them the car and price I wanted. Got it. MDX 189 (touring w/ navi and dvd player) in Pearl White. Paid $42.5k incl. TTL. Added bodyside moulding, window tinting, all weather mats, wood trim for dash, satin side boards for a grand total of $43.5.

Replying to: seema (Oct 02, 2005 11:14 am) It’s a metallic blue with Touring + Navigation. (Only Two touring/navi metallic blues and one basic Burgundy left) I was there on 9/19 too, and they definitely sold a lot of cars in a week. |

Replying to: abbycat (Sep 29, 2005 9:57 am) - Roof rack - Remote entry system with driver-recognition memory settings for driver's seat and outside mirror - Speed- and rain-sensing, intermittent wipers - Driver's 8-way power seat with power-adjustable lumbar support - Front passenger's 8-way power seat - Acura/Bose® Sound System with AM/FM stereo, 6-disc in-dash CD changer and 8 speakers with 10" subwoofer - HandsFreeLink™ with Bluetooth® I am seriously thinking about touring now. Do we have sliding second rows in any model of mdx? I read somewhere that mdx second row is not sliding one and its harder to use third row? Can a person in third row get in and out from both sides? Thanks.

Okay...I finally made the plunge and purchased a '05 MDX Touring with Nav. in central California. Total price (before tax, $35 doc fee, and dmv fee) $40,216 That included $37,400 Vehicle $1,125 Towing Package (installed) $725 Chrome Wheels w\wheel locks (installed) $750 Shiny Chrome Side Steps (installed) $125 All-weather mats and cargo tray $91 Allen Deluxe 4 bike carrier. I had the ability to receive the tow package, and side steps for about $400 less but would have had to install myself. I preferred to pay the $400 for dealer installation (approx. 4-6 hours). I also could have gotten the vehicle for $300 cheaper but wanted it brought to me on a flat bed rather than driven. I decided to use an auto broker in central California...because he was the only one that gave me a fair trade value on my other car. All in all, I am pleased with the deal. Will have to wait until Friday to take delivery (which feels like a year from now) but should be worth the wait. Thanks for all of the good info that has been provided in here. |
