See if you can get your hands on an '05 MDX "Premium." No Nav available, but the lease price is really good.

Thanks so much to the forum posts for giving me the true prices people pay. Most dealers here quoted $34K +TTL or higher. I saw some cheaper numbers and knew I could find a better deal if I tried. Well today I got it - about $32.7K + TTL ($35K driveout). This is for base model with mudguards, rear trunk mat and wheel locks. It is white with saddle interior - beautiful!. This was at a dealer in a little town about 1.5 hrs from Houston. Given that I saved $1.3K over the next best offer, it was well worth the drive.

I saw no point in paying more for electronics such as multi CD, wireless phone and navi. I can get better electronics elsewhere for cheaper and get them installed (as I did with my earlier cars).

Thanks all posters for the info. Long live the internet!

$2000 below invoice in Northern California by jl4car

2005 MDX Touring/Nav/RES (Silver/Quartz) with Side Steps installed.

$38600 (includes destination) plus tax and DMV fees.

Considering an invoice price of $40180 and side steps being worth at least $500 installed, my price was more than $2000 below invoice.

Acura of Pleasanton, CA was able to do this when the others dealers in the Bay Area that I contacted wanted about $500 more. The $1500 factory to dealer incentive last until 9/6/05, so this type of pricing should be available for a while longer.

Hello,
The dealer is offering me an extended warranty upto 6 years/72K miles for $995. Is that a good deal? I'd like to find out what others have paid for extended warranties from Acura..

Thanks

In terms of the 2006, I don’t think the body is changing considerably. I believe that I read there will be minor changes to the MDX with big changes to come in 2007.

To answer your question regarding other cars I looked at -- I considered many others w/3rd rows but I seriously considered the Volvo XC90. I know that this forum is for buying experiences and prices paid so I will limit my discussion to these topics. I had to weigh the features offered with the price of both vehicles. In the end, I decided that for the price, I got the best car for the money in the MDX. Already I am enjoying the navigation system and my children loved the DVD player on our trip. We also liked the XM radio and knowing that we had Onstar on our trip. I would have had to pay a lot more for these features on the XC90 (and I don’t think it comes w/Onstar). So, in terms of “value”, I feel that I got the best value in my purchase of the MDX.

You might want to check out some of the other MDX forums here on Edmunds as they are discussing some of your questions.

Good luck with making your decision!

I'm glad to hear that you had such a good experience there. Could you give some details? What was the great deal the lease that you got there? What model and which options? We are looking to lease a MDX leather Nav & DVD and that dealer is on our shopping list. Thanks.

I went to my local Acura dealer and made an offer on leasing a Pearl White 2005 MDX with Nav & Dvd:
Vehicle cost $39000
Money factor .00188
$1000 down
36 month / 15k miles

They acted like I peed in their pool? Was my offer way out of line? I know that they have $1500 mftr support and they make a little more on the leases so I think that it was a fair offer. Please let me know if I am wrong. Thanks for any and all responses!

Is $37.0k including destination, before TTL a good price? I think so, and sense the price is coming down on these vehicles. Maybe because of the coming 2006 model. Am I off here? Thoughts are appreciated.
