Replying to: mdx4me1 (Jun 15, 2005 7:08 am) I was using Edmunds as a base for invoice. We never discussed what "invoice" was. Haven't discussed destination charge either. If I get 1500 off what I consider invoice including destination charge that would be $37330 for the Touring with Navi, which I can't really complain about. Plus I want to try to get another 300 off for beating out the other local dealer, bringing me ideally to around $37k even. However I do want the chrome side steps, so hopefully he will give them to me around cost too.   I will probably right back to him later today or tomorrow, I'm trying to prolong the process til the last week of the month too. So I can get the best deal possible.

I have to tell you guys if it sounds to good to be true it probably is. I have been reading on here for about 2 months trying to get an idea on what I should pay for an MDX. When I seen the numbers that where being quoted from the dealer in PA, I was like wow.... So I called them and they told me 37,300 for a touring with the navigation system.. So I loaded up the 2001 MDX with the wife and the kids and almost 3 hours later we where there. Well here is when it got UGLY. I was told the 37,300 was for a touring with the rear entertainment system. So we went back and forth Got the manager involved. Got them to agree on the 37,300 for the navigation. We sat down to go over the numbers and he started to add 570 for the destination charge....429 prep charge I was like are you kidding me. Long story short.... I'm talking to Pohanka and Radley as well. I bought a TL from Radley on 12/31/2004 (talk about a great day to negotiate) and have had a great experience.   Are they adding the 570 destination charge on top? Replying to: rollhigher (Jun 15, 2005 5:12 pm) So I clarified with Pohanka. I had first emailed saying other dealers are offering $1500 under invoice. He responded with a yes, we are offering that. When I asked specific price to clarify he gave me $1k under invoice + destination for the base and only $500 under for Touring with NAV. I am trying for more. I register my car in MA therefore my tax is 5 % tax, title and registration is $200 plus the the $45 fee for temp plate and $13 for wasted tire tax. i'm new at the leasing game and would appreciate any advice.   looking for an mdx with touring package - no navigation. would like to pay minimal upfront costs - roll taxes and bank fees into lease.   any advice as to a fair/favorable rate?   any recommendations as to long island/new york dealers?   thanks.
