| We are looking for an 04 MDX touring with NAV here in Vegas. Only 1 dealer here and they quoted some un godly out the door of 45k. How close is the best deal? Willing to drive to St. George or SO. CAl to save the thousands the folks here seem to be. Reading here, the one we were offered STINKS! | |

I just bought a new 2004MDX base model. I live in Portland Oregon, and initially got offers at $1500 to $1800 off MSRP. I have never paid that much over invoice before. I began contacting internet managers from Seattle to Eugene with the help of Edmunds. I ultimately found Kendall Acura in Eugene Oregon who had the car on the lot and sold it to for $33,837.00, much better than the earlier offers. I even got a free pinstripe To cap it off (not to annoy anyone) there is no sales tax in Oregon. I must admit I was also seriously tempted by an offer made by Tonkin Acura of Portland of $2000 off a 2005. If you have any questions you can contact me by email - it is public in my profile. (PS to the web host - I hope I did it right this time. Thanks for the help) |

Did anybody get the 2004 MDX below or at invoice?

| Have two dealers I'm working with, both right at $41K for 2004 MDX w/Nav and DVD as well as Running boards, side body molding, and wood trim wheel; they value those 3 add ons about $1.6K so I think I'm looking at $39.5. Neither will budge any further; decent deal? Cig | |
I have a question pertaining to buying a 2004 MDX when the 2005's hit the streets. If the dealer is quoting 500 over invoice today and the urgency to sell the 04's is raised at that time does the following theory make sense. I am purchasing a vehicle that is a year old and has suffered that year's depreciation ($7000 according to edmunds). Why would I still pay invoice or higher for that auto? Even if you figured the depreciation at 1% that is still a $3500 deprecation. Would this rationale work with any dealer?

You may be able to do better, but not in DC. I bought a 2003 MDX w-nav and dvd last year from Lindsay Acura in Columbus Ohio, and I live in DC. Go to post 564 in this forum where i detail the entire deal. They are currently selling ALL 2004 TL's and MDX's for $350 over invoice, which would be $39,357 for your model. You can go there and pick up the vehicle, or they can deliver it to your door(that's what I did). If you look at post #564, I paid $559 for the black side steps, and $80 for the side molding. I did not get the wood wheel, but i do not think it would cost you $1000. You can contact me if you have any questions.
