I just purchased a 2012 MDX Advance for $45,000 flat including destination. Great price at Acura of Westchester. Awesome dealership. Very professional. Was quoted $44,789 at DCH in New Jersey but only had black/black. My wife really loved the white/umber. FYI: there is not only a $3,000 dealer cash but also a $1,000 hold back. Price point should be at least $3,500 below invoice. The entertainment option is really only for little little kids/babies. Everyone is using mobile devices now.
#12365 of 13263 2012 Advance Package Offer - New England
Nov 06, 2012 (5:03 pm)
I have a pricing offer from New England dealer of $45,682 (incl. destination of $895) on a 2012 MDX Advance package. From recent posts this price seems to be in line with what others are seeing. The rub comes when accessories are added and I am interested in what others are seeing for pricing/discounting on accessories. I'm looking at roof rack (silver), towing pkg, body side molding, running boards (adv), remote engine start, all season prot pkg I, and autobahnd protection. The vehicle also already has wood grain select knob and steering wheel, which I was not interested in. All that said, the accessories pricing offer is an additional $6,318, bringing total price to $52000. The accessories, notwithstanding the autobahnd, are priced on acura website at $4,130...approximately $2,200 in installation as upcharge. Thoughts or information on your experience with accessory pricing is welcome. Thanks.

Thanks for that information. One question, is that just Advance package or Advance + Entertainment? Not clear from title vs. your message. Thanks.

Sorry, that was just for the Advance. It is awesome and the supply is dwindling. Was still able to find white/umber combo! I was just saying that the cost of the entertainment package, in my view, is not justified. 3 IPADs for the same price are much more versatile. Get a great deal!
#12368 of 13263 Lease quote on 2012 MDX
Nov 07, 2012 (11:23 am)
I got the following quote in Orlando on a base model 2012 MDX:
Sales Tax: $2,335,36
Dealer Fee: $699.95
Total Price: $41,243.32
For a 36 mo lease with 12k, 0 down, payment quoted was $564
Seems to me like my payments should be around $511.....what am I missing?
Is this a good deal? Thanks for any help....I am a single mom trying to do this on my own for the first time and just want to make sure Iím getting a fair deal.
Thanks for input/advice!

That is not a good deal. It was a year or two ago but now with the new 2014 model coming out there are a lot of incentives on this car and it's a great time to buy. Go on cars.com or Edmunds and look up the invoice price of the vehicle. Subtract $3000 from that. You shouldn't purchase the car for anything higher than that. No dealer fee and other nonsense. $500 for tags and registration? I live in New York State and my charge was 125.

I did what you suggested....
The MSRP is $43,925 minus $3,000 = $40,925
That is only $318 less than the $41,243 I was quoted. Seems pretty close to me. Am I missing something? I apologize if it's obvious, I've never been through this before.
(I forgot to mention the residual value is $22,841).
Still think it's not a good deal? Anyone else have any thoughts?

You subtracted $3,000 from the MSRP, not the invoice price. The invoice price is the price paid buy the dealer to the manufacturer not including incentives. The invoice for your vehicle is (base model) $40,758 (including the destination charge of $895). $37,700 should be the highest you should pay (nodealers fee)
In addition to the $3,000 incentive Acura is giving the dealer there is also a $1,000 hold.
