It might be worth it for you to contact both Radley Acura and Pohanka Acura in northern VA. They are the largest Acura dealers in the country and both have very competitive pricing right now. I was quoted and just bought a car for under $39,000 for a 2012 MDX WITH tech package including destination charges, and including the $1,000 rebate for current Acura owners. (TTL was extra.) It might be worth it to have them ship it to you if you don't want to drive it back. This pricing is almost $4,000 less than my local dealers. Good luck!
#12016 of 12875 How can prices below 42K possible?

Consumer reports think you cannot get below 41.9K mdx with tech. Dealer invoice is 44.4K, dealer incentive of 1.5K and dealer holdback of 0.9K. Can someone explain? thank you.
#12017 of 12875 what about service?

If you get a car in North VA, how are you going to service if you don't live near North VA?

You can service your car at any Acura dealer in the country. It does not have to be the same place as where you bought it. It is the same as if you bought your car in one place, moved to another location, and then brought your car in for service at the new location. No big deal.

#12020 of 12875 Good price for a 2012 MDX Tech Package?

We are about to buy a new 2012 MDX Tech package with a white exterior and parchment interior (a hard to find color combo here in the SF Bay area).
We're going through AutoNation and were quoted a price of $42,471. Once you add up the various taxes, etc we're looking at $46,531. The Acura Care Extended Service warranty (60 months/100k miles) is an addition $1,750 for a total of $48,281. We're interested in the 0.09 percent financing.
There's a "Value Care" package that covers oil changes and services for 48 months or 60K for an additional $330. How often do MDXes need to get their oil changed and what other services need to be paid for within the 48 months or 60K window?
Are these prices in line with what others are paying? Thanks.

Let's not bash Airport Acura. I just got a great deal there on a 2012 Base model MDX. Worked out to $38,750 which is $2,000 below Invoice and represents a 12% reduction from MSRP. Best deal in Cleveland area. Great people to do business with. I recommend them highly.

I am close to finalizing the purchase. I have two questions ..
I have an internet special offer from a Chicagoland dealer for $39,975 PLUS tax, title, license, doc. and destination fee. Is this a good deal ?
I am also planning to add a few accessories such as Advance Running Board($975), All season Mats($279), wheel locks($189), rear bumper applique($199), Tri Fold Cargo Tray($278).
There seems to be no room for discount on these (at least that's what the dealer tells me). I was also told that I need to add these at the time of purchase of the vehicle to get the 4Yr warranty on these.. Otherwise it will be a 1 yr warranty. Any idea on what a reasonable % discount I can ask for these accessories ?
Thanks for your help in advance

I believe your are paying little over $1500 what others are paid in this forum for the Tech pkg (MDX with tech+running board +roof rack w/o cross bar paid $39000) from VA state.
FYI,
Regarding Accessories, I gathered from the Acura website. All are MSRP prices.
All-Season Protection Package I - $386 (Which also includes Wheel locks)
Advance Running Boards - $654
I have no idea how to get the invoice price on these accessories.

Consumer Reports is likely reporting an average, with actual prices both higher and lower. If not, they're dead wrong.
Out of the 10 dealerships from which I solicited quotes (nationwide), my average price (including destination and dealer fees, but not TT&L) was about $42k for a 2012 MDX with Tech Package. Seven dealers offered quotes below the average, three offered quotes above.
These prices did not include the Acura loyalty/conquest offer. If you qualify for those, subtract $1000 off of any price.
A GREAT price for a 2012 MDX Tech is around $40k (including destination and dealer fees) - around $39k if you qualify for loyalty/conquest. You may have to travel and negotiate for a great deal.
Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. While encountered a few dealers who were legit and genuinely wanted to make a deal, I encountered just as many who were completely full of xxxx and a couple who were downright shady - something a bit surprising for a "premium" brand.
