2009 G37 Price Paid/Buying Experience by 240zdude

2009 G37 sedan, liquid platinum/graphite, 13 miles, Journey, premium package, illuminated kickplates, alarm inpact sensor, splash guards, trunk mat, trunk cargo net. MSRP $37,910, Invoice $34,867, paid $33,449 with wheel locks and tint included. Tax $2090.56, dealer invoice tax $60.74, doc fee $50.00, transfer fee $33.00, state registration $77.30, state inspection sticker $23.75, OTD price $35,784.35. Cash purchase. Austin Infiniti, Austin, TX. Figured out exactly what I wanted, contacted all other Texas dealers first via email asking if they had the exact car I wanted and what their best price was, dickered back a bit with a couple to improve the offers, then gave Austin Infiniti a chance to bid at the end. I live in Austin and wanted to spend my money locally, if possible. They came in basically at invoice on the first pass, but dropped immediately when I disclosed the other offers I got and indicated I was willing to travel to get my car. Relatively quick, easy experience. For Austin buyers, I highly recommend Akeem Disu at Austin Infiniti. No pressure, knowledgable, straight dealing, very nice guy. But do your research and get your numbers in order first! We set up the deal over email and he got me in and out of the dealership a very happy man in about 45 minutes!

Maybe compared to some parts of the country, but I don't think I could have gotten another $1000 off that price in Texas. Based upon my discussions with other dealers and some price blogs, I know I could have saved a couple of/few hundred more by going to Dallas or Houston where they have multiple dealerships, but at 55 cents/mile (federal mileage rate) to travel there (about 400 miles roundtrip each), I would have used up most or all of that savings. Plus, it would have cost me an entire day in travel. Not to mention being 200 miles from home and maybe having them try to play some last minute games. Austin Infiniti is right on my way home, 10 minutes from work, 10 minutes from the house. Including a couple of emails to set up the deal and the time in the dealership, I invested less than 1 hour in the entire purchase process, which was completely hassle free. All of that is worth some $, at least to me. I'm an extremely busy person these days, so the price/convenience factor worked for me!

Owner's Reward Program by paulg37x

Infiniti has a deal where you can get a $500 AMEX gift card if you purchase a new Infiniti between August 28. 2009 and November 30, 2009. I (as a current Infiniti owner) get a $150 AMEX gift card for "recommending" Infiniti to you. I did this with a guy when I bought the car a few months ago and now I'm in a position to be on the other end of the deal. You can find out more about the program at InfinitiUSA.com/Rewards. Basically, I need you to provide me with your name, address, and VIN. I enter it along with my name, address, VIN, and redemption code. In 6-8 weeks we both get our money. First come, first serve; so I'm looking for someone who just purchased an Infiniti within the last couple of days or is going to buy one very soon. Please e-mail me at the following address:

Thanks.
Paul

Oh please tell me they are not running that program again. Another 6 months of people posting the complete rules to a program we have already had detailed 100 times.
