Go To Carsdirect.com. Price one out, and make the dealership match this price. If they don't, walk.

hey guys!
I'm looking at a G37 coupe Journey. VPP (Vehicle Purchase Program) gets me invoice - 3%.
On here it says invoice is 33,859 (no options or destination charge). But you guys are talking about a lot more $ off the invoice. So should I not lead with the VPP deal?
I'm confused! Does this $2500 discount qualify for VPP purchases aswell?
 
Want to know what prices I can realistically expect. Thanks!

Then it's a great deal. trying to figure out how the dealer is doing it.
 
If they have a premium with Sports on a similar discount, I will take it.

I don't know how they're doing it either. I just sent my deposit and reserved a platinum graphite car. If you are serious about buying and can get to atlanta I'll ask the dealer. He also gave me a quote of around 34k if i wanted nav but not interested.

Thanks, mannix. Unfortunately, the G37 base is pretty scarce in Chicago. Most dealers only have the G37 AWD or a Journey with one or more option packages.

I don't know what the restrictions are on the VPP program. However, instead of placing an offer, ask the dealer what he is willing to offer and then ask some other dealers and see what they offer you. If it's better than VPP, then you are good, if not you can pull the VPP card.
 
Remember the prices can fluctuate from city to city. Also, the rules on the VPP may not allow the $2500 dealer incentive, you should check on this.

thanks mannix. yeah! but there are only two freakin dealers in all of Washington state (and someone said they're by the same owner). $#(*.. I don't want to screw it up with the ONLY dealer in town

750 above invoice is not all that bad. Compare to other vehicles in the market, I don't see how you can go wrong. A+ in quality, A+ in reliability, and performance.

There are deals to be made at JBA. I learned about it from a G37 forum. A woman went into JBA, showed them Edmund's invoice price, and negotiated a great price. This is an exact quote from her:
 
"I just bought a G37x w/ premium package and navi for $34300 + TT."
 
That is the AWD sedan she meant to say. That is $3,400 below invoice.

I'm not advertising for JBA, but just wanted to let the rest of you know you can negotiate a good price. After all, us consumers gotta keep it real.
