rusdude - You make a good point. After the stock market crashed, it seemed a lot of people started buying pre-owned vehicles instead on new. Their values have held steady for quite some time, but Infiniti could not sit around and die. They have come out with some great incentives and the difference between the two is not that much. If you lease a new one, your payment could even be lower than a one or two year old pre-owned one.

As for AWD in Texas, Infiniti does not allocate that many AWDs for the South, plus we don't sell that many, so we don't order that many, and since we don't order that many we don't have any to sell and you get the picture!

09 G37 Journey With Premium Package by mboro

I have received offers from several dealers for an 09 G37 Journey with Premium Package. Trunk cargo net and splash guards (non-sport) are dealer add-ons that seem to be included by nearly all dealers with this configuration. So far the best offer I have received for this combination using the $2,500 manufacturer to dealer marketing support is $32,703. There dealer processing fee is $399 in addition to the $32,703 so my out the door price including the processing fee but excluding TTL is $33,102. The dealer is about 1.5 hours from where I live. I would like to get $2,500 below invoice (Edmunds lists the invoice for this config. as $34,378), but so far I have not been able to get there. I tried to get the above offer down by $500 but the dealer wouldn't go for it. I am in a city with only 1 Infiniti dealer (who has not been willing to work with me beyond their initial offer of invoice combined with IFS' special financing of 2.9 for 60 or 3.9 for 72 OR $1,000 under invoice with no special financing), so I have had to go to other dealers in the region to create competition. I feel like there has to be a better deal out there given the current incentives, but I am not going to drive 250 miles to save a couple hundred bucks. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi mboro,

I suggest you get better offers from other dealerships within 250 miles, and when you get your goal of $2500 below invoice, call up your local dealership and allow them to match our outbid them. As an incentive, tell them you will bring your car to them for service and also give them the highest rating on the survey if they should match or outbid the other dealership.

I have a feeling if they're the only dealership in your area, then they might be picky and hold out for better offers. If they dont go for it, then F--- them and buy from the faraway dealership, assuming you were able to save an additional $1500 there. For that amount, you could get limo service to the dealership with two hookers and still save some bucks.

Best wishes....

mboro - I think you are there. I assume the vehicle you mentioned stickers for around $37,225, so you are around $4100 off. That is a fair deal, sure if you were in a big city with 4 dealers - one may undercut the other for $100 or so, but to drive a couple hours away seems silly. members78 is right, if you could save $500 or more, it would be worth the trip - but I don't see that happening. Remember, your local dealer is the one you will be taking your car to for warranty work and maintanence - it is beneficial for you both to buy the car there as well - it gets you off to a good relationship. The car is worth $33k all day long - that is the most important thing to remember, be sure the financing and trade are fair - they are just as important as the price.

We just purchased the G37 with Premium, and the Navigation Package through Costco auto program. It included the splash guards, cargo net, illuminated kick plates and window sensor alarm. We had to pay a transport fee as they did not have the color we wanted on the lot ( we got stuck with that) and we paid $33,300. + 450 to get the car from a different lot. We added a change order to get the chrome rims and burl wood in lieu of the chrome trim inside. That bumped the price up.

sewellgsm - I finally got my car G37x w/ premium & wood for $33808 before TTL. This is $5980 off sticker, but remember this also includes the $2500 discount. Of course whoever read this will say this is an awesome deal. To me it's a good deal. On paper I got this car $500 below invoice, but received $1000 less than the trade in value according to KBB. So techincally I paid $500 over invoice, which is not to bad.

mboro - Like sewellgsm said, price is important, but trade in and finance is important too. If I did not have a trade in, I might not get this price. I believe the dealers will give you something, but at the same time take something back from somewhere.

The reason our car was $1,000 more was we have the navigation package. Then we paid an additional fee to have the burl wood interior. It replaces all the chrome on the dash, side doors and gear shift. It looks beautiful. Enjoy your new car

That is a great deal for Dallas - the people at Grubbs are good (like Sewell - I'm sure you got good deal on your trade and with the financing package as well - enjoy the G37 - they are awesome!
