6MT Sedan by dfd3

Yes, I did buy at Grubbs. Yes, I am having fun with the manual. I do not typically find myself in alot of stop and go traffic, so the manual is not a problem. In fact, to me it makes the 3.5L engine come alive. Gears ratios for 1-5 are very close, so the engine tends to stay in it's powerband. When I initially test drove the 6MT, I was amazed at the difference in the "seat of the pants" feel of the car. I really felt those 260 FP's of torque. The tough thing now is waiting until 1200 miles to open it up. As all G35 owners know, this engine really likes to rev, so I have to watch the tach. The shifter has a very short throw and shifts are a short "snick-snick". It feels very precise to me. If you are a 5AT owner and have not driven the 6MT I highly recommend doing so.

Anyone get a good G35 lease price? by jaffman

I live in the NYC/metro area. Dealer wants to lease to me a G35 sedan, premium, NAV, Wood, Splash Guards, Trunk Mat 2004, 12K miles/yr, 36 month, zero down, for $575/month. Is this a good deal? Anyone get a better deal? If so, where from? Thank you, in advance.

I paid $26,150 for a Base Model in Houston Texas.
Desert Platinum/Willow cloth (No Options required)
Purchase in 12/31/02 Prior to Price increase. Base Price $27,100 with $ 950 off + Freight Tax and Tags.
What a value for all the standard equipment, safety features, and Infiniti Warranty

You can probably do a lot better. I leased a 2003.5 sedan, premium/wood/NAV for 36 months, zero down, 15,000 miles per year for $514.15 per month. Since the lease price is based on the sales price, you still need to haggle. Sticker on mine was $35,715 and dealer sold to me for $33,524.

Good luck.

Thank you, coolpop. When did you begin your lease? Currently, Im price shopping at various dealers... we will see if one of them has more room on the price. There aren't any G35's with NAV in my area that havent been sold. Maybe thats whats making my price so hi?
The dealer suggests i get all weather tires. does the tire type make a difference in the ride? Thank you, and any others, for your input.

Started mine 12/17/02. One thing that I left out, however, is that I got my lease through my credit union, which may or may not make a difference (except in the trust category). This credit union lease is awesome, I even took the paperwork home for 3 days just to find the holes in it, and there were none. Very low APR and they even pay the GAP insurance. Plus, and this is the best - no early termination penalty.

As far as the tires are concerned, your choices for this car are severely limited in the stock size of 215/55/17. If you stay stock, make sure the dealer puts on the Bridgestones if your car doesn't already have them. Stay away from the Goodyears. I went to 235/50/17, which is about the only other size that fits properly, and got the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. Very pricey but worth it IMHO. Quieter than the Bridgestones and also has a better ride.

Hope that helps.

I am interested in one, possibly two G35s, buy one, lease one. Sedan, premium package, winter package with full spare - for both. Would greatly appreciate feedback about the price and the money factor in the lease. Thanks to all.

I thought Xenon headlights were included in the premium package - at least that is what we were told by the dealer. But, my research on the internet seems to indicate otherwise. Any thoughts?? Thanks to all.

Xenons were an option in early sedans (the "2003" models) but all sedans made since about September (the "2003.5") model have Xenons as standard equipment. I believe the coupe has always had Xenons standard.
