I think it would be about $1500 under invoice. Not a bad price with financing. I'm looking to get a price of $30,000 ($4,500 under invoice) for a G35X w/ premium before I pull the trigger. (without financing) With how many I see on the lots, I think it will happen.

I've been holding out on a G35 Journey/Prem/Nav/Wood and the best price I've gotten so far is $34,772.56. This is in Southern Cal. Oh, it also includes the illuminated kick plates. This is with .9% financing and 1k discount.

I'm pretty sure I can get a better deal so I've been waiting it out. The past few days, I started getting a ton of follow up emails from the dealers I contacted initially (about 5 of them). Just got one with an additional $500 coupon so it seems like there are still better deals waiting if you hold out....I'll keep you posted.

So far the best deal I've been able to garner up over here in NE Ohio is $31,912 + TTL for the '08 G35x with Premium Package. This still seems a bit high, don't you think? I figured they'd be willing to deal with me since I went to their dealership a couple times already and they have probably about 40 G35x's sitting on their lot (all '08s)!

Way too high. I wouldnt pay a dollar over $30,750. Invoice is around $34,750-$4,000 incentives = $30,750. The way the economy is right now, they should just be happy to get rid of the cars at cost.

Well, his original offer was ~$33k, after I emailed him back saying that $30k seems more appropriate since I'll be paying cash for this car, he gave me this quote of $32k. Do I just need to reiterate that $30k is what other people are paying for this same car, or what? It doesn't seem like I'm getting my point across to him, so how do I negotiate it to be that low?

08 G35 Journey w/ premium by snowden2

I'm thinking about emailing my Infiniti salesman this offer for a 2008 G35 Journey with/ premium:

Start with $31,000 with 0.9% financing (which I think is about $2K below invoice), and see what he comes back with. I'm willing to go up to $32,000, but would be happier somewhere in between. Do y'all think this is a reasonable approach?

Well, I calculated the invoice price on your G37S to be $36,856 and you got it about $600 lower including fees, and you got the 0.9% financing. That is a lot better than what the dealers are offering around here, especially with the 0.9%.

Did they put a window tint or wheel locks for free? I appreciate you sharing the details of your deal. It helps us know how low dealers will actually go.

"..they have probably about 40 G35x sitting on their lot.."

Did you mean about 40 G35's (all G35's including G35x's)? If not that would mean an awful lot of 08 G35 AWD cars sitting on the lot of a single dealership at this time of the year. My NJ local dealership is considered quite big and the last time I checked (11/6/08) there were 6 G35x & 10+ other G35/G37 unsold. Even at that low level of inventory (comparing to your dealership) they were quite eager to sell at invoice.

I am still holding out for two reasons: 1) to find out the details (leasing/buying/test drive) of the 09 Acura TL AWD due to come out around 11/15 and 2) to wait for the price of the G35x to drop further.

I agree that you should not offer a dollar more than $30751 cash for this car as suggested by the previous posting; however, your offer of $30000 appears low. Your dealer might not be ready to take a loss at this time.

Agreed, $30,000 flat is too low at this time. I am being patient and waiting until December or January, the dealer by my house has a lot of the G35X's w/ preimum left.
