Just picked up 2008 g35x sport
Blue slate
stone/washi
prem pkg
sport pkg
nav pkg
36 mos/12k miles
zero down --except inceptions
513.98 month

I think I did pretty good

I drove 2009 Audi A4---Nice looking car ---but are you kidding me----Drive them both yourself--the G is qiucker, faster, handles better. For me it was a no brainer to choose the G over the A4.

Also considered the acura tl---was not digging the new look

Drove a 3 series BMW for the past 6 years--awesome car but I just wanted a change----let me say this people---do not delude yourself--the 3 series handles a BIT better--but not much!! I think Infiniti has some German engineers working for them.

Also considered the MB 300-------------------NO thanks

Love the G so far ---rear camera is great --radio is superb---digging it so far--will write more --after I drive it more.

SWEET CAR

I paid approx 3600 under invoice for this vehicle ... time was a factor since I was paying for a rental out of pocket, or I would have held out for the full 4,000 under invoice (or more).
The inventory for these 2008 G35s is not that great, if you think you will want one, I would move on it.

Lastly, if I had a month or two I could have waited, I think there is a very good chance we're going to see similar incentives on the 2009s. LIke i said, I couldn't wait, so it's a moot point. I'm also not sure I want to be first in line on the G37 sedan ... something reassuring about owning the mature G35, I think they've worked out all the bugs (I know, I know, it's mostly the same car ...).

About the Audi A4 ...
I totally agree with you. I test drove both the 2.0 (gutless compared to the G35) and 3.2 (not bad, G35 still better) ... Nice cars, but too much $, and I think the G35 makes a lot stronger first impression ...

havent driven the 09 a4 but have leased an 07 audi a4 for the past 2 years. test drove the 08 g35 and could not get over the throttle issues... i would barely touch the gas and the car would lurch forward. tried to gently squeeze the gas and same result. i know its got a lot more hp under the hood than the a4, but it just was slightly nauseating to drive and not the car for me. i wish it were though bc there are some great deals on it...

Thanks for all the advice. I showed your deal for the 08 G35x with prem, nav, wood and splash guards to my dealer in NY. He said he would match it but that the other fees were different in NY. How do I know if, and how much, he's padding them to make up for the low price?

2008 G35x purchase by dan2008

Last week I picked up a 2008 G35x with premium package for invoice less the $4,000 dealer cash. The available cars at the dealership all had a few hundred miles on them, so I was no happy. I ended up purchasing the car driven by the sales manager (i checked it was never titled) with 6300 miles on it for an additional $1,500 discount along with the all season floor mats, emergency road kit and free oil change and tire rotation. The car is in great shape, but the dealer detailing when I received it was pathetic, so I brought it back and made them completely detail it! I am very happy with my transaction.

Congratulations on the purchase.

Perhaps you can add a comment to a debate over in the "Ask a Dealer a Question" forum. Is your warranty 36,000 miles or 36,000 + 6300 = 42,300 miles?
