Those "patches" are a clear protective film applied to keep rocks and pebbles from chunking the paint, common on most newer vehicles now, similar to the 3m clear-bra film used on hoods and fenders.

G35 Offer by cptbongue

I'm getting quotes for $33,500 on Journey + Sport + Premium

This includes 0.9%.

Wonderring if I should just pull the trigger. People who are getting better quotes on this thread aren't mentioning whether they include the 0.9% financing or not, so it's not really informative

What are your thoughts? Is it time to pull the trigger?

I think you can do better -
Edmunds shows invoice for that car as 32,551 (destination not included) ... take out the 4K in incentives, that's now 28,551 ...

In regards to October sales... by houston_tn

I found this article to be more accurate in regards to October sales, so there could be hope for better November incentives yet.

So I guess we shall see.

cptbonque,

Be sure to confirm with the dealer that this is with the 0.9% APR. It is my understanding that you could get 0.9% or the $4000 off incentive, not both. I am calculating the invoice to be $34468 on your G35 (assuming $815 dest. charge), MSRP $37665. At $33500, that is $968 below invoice, which exceeds their 1% holdback of $377. Please let me know if you are able to close the deal with that price. Nobody around here is quoting me more than $100 below invoice on a G37 using the 0.9% APR, yet their 08 cars still sit there collecting dust on the lot.

houston_tn,

Are you in Houston, Texas? If so, could you please let me know if you end up getting a deal around here. I would like to see how low these Infiniti dealers will actually go. I will do the same if I get a deal.

Thanks!

If you think the November incentives are the same as October, I think this is a fair deal for the 08 G35 Journey + Sport + Premium.

The Invoice for the car with the options you want stands at $34,468 which includes $815 destination charge. If you elect to take the 0.9% financing, you only get the $1000 sell down cash but not the $3000 dealer incentive. So the price is $33,468, which is very close to the $33500 you were quoted. You can massage down a couple of hundred dollars if you are serious. This was quoted to me by a NJ dealer in Edison, NJ, while I was shopping for a G35x earlier today, the last day for the October price with incentives.

You could buy the car with cash for $30468 plus TTL. If you can take a home equity loan or line of credit for the money, that sounds a better deal. I am thinking about this option along with other choices. Good luck.

I believe there are only two in the Minneapolis area, and they both gave me a quote around that range. I believe one was $300 more. Please dont make reference to the posting when you call or email, it wont do either one of us any good. If you walk into either dealership and offer $31,500(taking the $3,000 instead of the .9%) today for a G35X Premium, you will have yourself a car. Tommorrow, who knows, we will have to wait and see what the incentives are.
