Replying to: drjustin (May 03, 2008 3:44 pm) Lease term 39 month / 15 K per year. - gross cap cost is $37,255 ($35,114 + $1,546 tax + $595 aquisition) - residual is $22,021 - depreciation amt is $15,234 - rent charge is $4,207 - monthly payt is $498 (payt would have been $492 but the dealer gave me $500 cash for my last SAAB lease payt) - $716 down (1st month + DMV fees only) I live in Albany, NY and had a great experience with this transaction. They originally told me $542 mo. payt + $2500 down and I ended up with the above deal. I've been leasing since 1988 and I felt this was a good transaction. Good luck JC |

Hi: I got 2 weeks ago the following car: Infiniti 2008 G35 Journey with the following: Premium Package Infiniti Navigation Package Painted Splash Guards Trunk Cargo Net Tinted Glass Lojack Price Paid= $35100 This is not including ttl etc... I calculated with the tint glass and lojack I paid $400.00 below invoice I also included a 7 years 100,00 miles extended warranty 0 deductible for $1900.00. I think this was a little high.. but I did not want to keep pushing.. I also got a good discount in my insurance for the lojack Is this a good deal??? |

wow, i can't get the dealer to work with me at all. they offered me the deal at whatever i had posted earlier, something around $36,600, and i countered with $33,000 thinking we'd eventually end up at $34,000. instead, they told me good luck and wished me well. oh well.......next dealer i guess? but this process is frustrating and i'm almost just as suited to keep the car i have.

Replying to: dwynne (May 05, 2008 2:51 pm) G37 Journey, Navigation, Premium, Illuminated Kick Plates Invoice 38292, My negotiated price 38500 Dealer adding 4 splash guards invoiced at $150 MF= .0019 Residual= 62% 39 month lease, 10k miles per year $1630 down payment (fees, registration, bank fee of 595, first month pmt) $491 a month This deal was better than my VPP code which only got me to 300 over invoice. I figure this is respectable, no ? I ran this dealb other dealerships on-line and they claim to be able to beat it, but sounds like it wouldnt be worth the hassle for a few bucks. your opinion greatly appreciated...

Replying to: dwynne (May 05, 2008 7:01 pm) Dealer said only G37s with the Sport Packages were being delivered with port installed splash guards... without the Sport Package it would be an add on... who knows... Initially I was able to bargain the price down to 300 over invoice... other fees in the deal included standard 595 bank fee, standard motor vehicle fee 250 (if actual cost here is less they rebate me the balance), document fee 249, no prep fees or anything else. I complained about the 249 doc fee, dealer said they are forced to charge everyone the same doc fee due to legal reasons, but I was persistent so he knocked another 100 of the car, bringing me to 200 over invoice - considering the splash guards being added, I considered I am getting the car for basically invoice. I double checked MF was accurate at .0019, added 2% to residual due to 10k miles only on the lease, checked bank fee - everything legit, dealer really was honest. When I hit him the VPP, he was also honest - said that deal gets to 300 over invoice, and even admitted they are incentivized by IFS with a 2.5% holdback on MSRP rather than the regular 2% - but that the numbers on my deal were better. I know dealers tend to dispute invoices, but I was able to find this on-line and when I presented it I was able to get the right deal.. the salesman and manager were shocked, said they had never seen a customer bring this into a dealership... check out this link: http://www.g37driver.com/Pricing.pdf In any case, I am satisfied.. went to a high volume dealer, they sell 180 Infinitis a month.. Regarding the lease rate vs buy rate - not familiar with that aspect, can you tell if I am in line? Anyway, I want to thank you for all your posts - I was able to educate myself about the process by researching this site and I felt so prepared in the dealership.

Replying to: joenyc (May 06, 2008 5:37 am) I would still have them leave the cheap plastic splash guards off Did you find that the invoice pretty much matched the invoice numbers you see here on Edmunds, KBB, and carsdirect.com ? What color are you getting? Dennis
