hi all, I'm thinking to get a G37 around June possibly wait till July for better deal. I've been hesitating to request an internet quote, but eventually I did through carsdirect, and the dealer they got me in touch with is hardly responsive. (Sacramento Infiniti) It takes them average 2 weeks to reply my email, and without any contents to answer my question. My question here, can anyone suggest me to a good dealership around Bay Area to Sac? I'm actually in Reno (there is no Infiniti dealer here), so I would prefer a dealership that is around I-80. And anyone had good experience in getting an internet quote via email? (I'm working oversea, so it is hard for me to actually talk to them on the phone). Lastly, what's some of the latest deals that you've closed on a G37 (purchase, not lease)? Most of the quote I've seen here is on G35. Thanks in advance, really appreciate everyone's information here. |

Hello, I've been test driving cars the last three weeks and had my wow moment test-driving a 2007 G35 today. I'm seriously considering buying it. It is black with 24k miles, the premium package and the navigation package. There are some minor, but noticeable cosmetic defects to the bumper as well as the control panel on the driver side door (looks like key scratches) The dealer is in Clear Lake Infiniti in Clear Lake TX (just outside of Houston) and is asking $31k. TMV seems to be $26,700, KBB $29k and NADA $32k. Thoughts on a reasonable final price before TTL would be appreciated. Also happy to provide more information if needed. Thanks!

Replying to: hammuh (May 02, 2008 3:37 pm) A NEW 08 journey sedan with premium would be around $33k or $35k with Nav. Not much difference between the 07 sedan and the 08 (ipod interface, etc). A new 08 journey coupe with premium would be $36.5k or so. If this is a coupe then it is the old design and the new interior is head and shoulders better than the old one. You can get cheap financing on new coupes and sedans (2.9% for 60 months) and better lease deals. So in other words, depending on what it is and in the shape it is in you had better get them to knock a LOT off the price or you would be better off buying new. Dennis

Replying to: hammuh (May 02, 2008 4:44 pm) CapitalOne is doing 6.19% for 60 months online for used cars. If you did $28k it would be $543.80 per month. $33k at 2.9% for 60 would be $591.50. Less than $50 a month you could drive new. You may can talk them lower and/or get a better rate on the used car - but don't overpay for the used one. Dennis |

here my initial offer from my local dealer, and it really sucks to be honest: 2008 g35 sport w/prem package only:(includes mats and cargo net etc) black w/stone interior the lease term is 39 month w/ 15k per year. - the sticker price is $37,935 - the sale price is $36,635 - the money factor is 0.00185 - the residual value is $ 22,381.65 - the paymt. per month is $ 520 to $530 w/ approved credit. - the total tag, title, license, and 1st paymt. due up front are$1,840.29 thoughts/suggestions and or ideas are appreciated =)

I was a little nervous to post this due to me finding out how bad I got hosed. But this was our deal: 2008 G35X Every option except the cruise control thing. trade in was a 03 hummer that we purchased 8 months ago and we carried over $8,000 negative equity towards the G35X (ouch) $2,000 down 3 year lease/12k miles per year payment with tax (5.5%) 767.00 a month We took the H2 in to get an oil change and found out there was about $6,000 in repairs that needed to be done, got a second opinion and they said the same thing. So with gas prices, we decided to look at cars and found the Infiniti and we love it. Me being in real estate, the nav. works great. I have no complaints and I don't have a stroke writing the check every month. It is definetly worth the money knowing we got out of the H2 with all the problems and into this vehicle. How bad do you guys think we took it in the shorts? I am a little curious to hear everybody's remarks.

G37 Journey, Navigation, Premium Package, Illuminated Kick Plates, Splash Guard, Cargo Mat. $5,000 total out of pocket includes first month payment, $396 month, 39 months, 10k miles per year. Negotiated cost of car, $38,600. Right now I am paying $249 doc fee which I figure I can get reduced... |
