I just wanted to say thanks for all the great information regarding Infiniti leasing I picked up here and especially to Dennis for the assist and recommendations. I picked up my new G37 last night after reviewing a few last-minute online offers. Ended up leasing the G37 at invoice with no markup on lease rates. Did pay the standard Atlanta dealer inflated doc fees but still seemed like a reasonable deal to me. One thing that did enter into my decision was the Internet Sales Mgr./Sales rep at the dealership. Great guy to deal with. Honest and straightforward throughout the process, answered every question quickly and honestly. Even met me on Sunday although the dealership was actually closed to let me do a final drive when I told him my schedule was tight. I know this forum saved me a bunch of cash (and untold hassle) on this transaction. Thanks again!

Replying to: dwynne (Apr 22, 2008 6:38 am) Options include: Premium Pkg., Nav. Pkg., Performance Tire & Wheel Photos to come I must say I'm blown away with the power, ride and comfort so far (although I am coming out of a BMW Z4 roadster so comparison especially on ride comfort isn't exactly fair). Also the level of technology built into this thing is incredible. It will take the better part of the weekend I'm sure to go through the manuals to find ALL of the possibilities. My wife was particularly impressed that you can have the nav system bark at you when you arrive home to emulate the waiting dog. I think that might be over the top a bit but still fun.

If you don't find them, let me know and I can find the link again. It IS a shame that my giant "bag" for all these books will not fit in the glove box in the car - poor planning. In your printed manual there may be lots of voice commands listed that no longer work (unless you got an early production G), the newer version of the PDF has those removed. Dennis

I purchased a new 2008 G35 Journey with the Premium Package (black on black)before the end of March. I have really enjoyed driving the car especially since I haven't had a fun car for about 15 years! I was able to get a great deal for the area that I live and want to thank all of you for the information that you provide on this forum. It was very helpful to prepare me for negotiating a price. To help others who might be purchasing a G35 in NC, I'll give the prices offered from several dealers. Since NC does not have very many dealers, I couldn't find a deal at invoice although I came close. I also purchased the vehicle with cash and no trade so the dealer couldn't make money on financing or a low trade price. I didn't buy an extended warranty either. Here are the prices relative to invoice. Modern Infiniti (Greensboro): $939 + $500 doc fee Lake Norman Infiniti (Charlotte): $1099 + $599 doc fee Charlotte Infiniti (Matthews): $956 + $500 doc fee Crossroads Infiniti (Raleigh (local): $583 + $399 doc fee Crossroads Infiniti clearly had the best deal. They are local, and I waited to deal with them last after I had worked best prices by phone with the other dealers. The local dealer quickly recognized that they needed to deal and gave me a great price on the first round. It helped that I was only 4 days from the end of the month, too. Since I purchased before the end of March, I received a $500 rebate off of the price listed above which put me very close to invoice before the doc fee. I was very willing to drive to Greensboro if Raleigh was unwilling to deal. I told them that I wanted $500 over invoice but wouldn't tell them the prices from the other dealers (they would just match it). They gave me a price which they said was $500 over invoice but was more like $583. The difference was so small I didn't want to argue. There could have been differences in the invoice prices anyway. One of the other dealers said there had been another price increase in March. In the end, it was close enough, and I was very happy. The G35 has been wonderful to drive. I look forward to my commute to work now. |

I had a dealer call me up today and said the G35 had the $1000 conquest bonus cash that is being offered on the rest of the Infiniti vehicles. I can't verify this on Edmunds or the other sites. He also said that the 60 month financing is now 3.9 rather than 2.9. Edmunds says that the 60 month is 2.9. The difference over 60 months 2.9 vs. 3.9 is about $1000. Go figure????? Has anybody else had such an offer?
