Forgive my ignorance...What's this about not being able to wash the car? I'm obviosly missing something here and since I will soon be the owner of one of these cars I'm hoping you'll share. Is there a special finish on the car that is not supposed to be romoved for a certain period of time or something??

I second the question. I'm in NJ too and am curious about what the Dealers in NJ (especially northern NJ) are offering in terms of pricing on the G35x. Anyone have any recent buying experiences they'd like to share?
Also, anyone know if the Sport option for the G35x is available yet?

The can't wash the car thing sounds like old wives' tale BS to me. The cars are made in Japan and shipped over here by boat. Even if you purchased one right off the truck the paint has had weeks to "cure". The only exception would be if you purchased some of that rip-off "mop and glow" type paint protection from the stealer, I mean dealer. I guess with that stuff they could tell you not to wash the car for a bit, but I would never buy that stuff so I could not say.

LOL - it's not a paint thing, it's a lack-of-water thing. The original poster and I are located in GA and there are serious water restrictions - I haven't been able to wash my G35 since I bought it . They recently upped the fines to $1000 for your 2nd violation ($100 on first) - that's an expensive car wash if you get busted!

Now that makes sense...I was not aware of the lack of water down there.

Gotcha! I though you were talking about "waiting for the paint to cure" or something. You should update your CarSpace profile to show your location .

I,m looking for aG35 with nav, preminum, and sport packages is Birmingham, Ala. We only have one dealer here and they are not interested in selling below msrp. Do any of you have any suggestions as to dealers close by that are willing to sell at a reasonable price?
Thanks

Try Harper in Knoxville, Prebul in Chattanooga, and Gwinnett in Duluth, GA. I have contacts at all three, but you should be able to get a decent deal by going through the "Internet" department via their web pages. I think there was another GA dealer I talked to at one time that seemed to want to deal. Another dealer in AL was very helpful as well, but did not have a car available like I wanted. I have that info someplace buried in some notes .

Thanks for the help. I did try Prebul and they would only come off $500 from sticker.
I have a request into Gwinnett, but have not received an answer. I'll try the Knoxville dealer next. I would have thought that dealers around here would be somewhat hungry, but that does not seem to be the case.
