Today I signed the lease for g35 journey with premium, nav, tech and perf. tires package with 9 SD 461/month (including taxes) for 15k miles /yr for 39 months.

My agreed upon value was $300 over invoice ($35637) and bank fee ($595) I paid as part of drive off $6836.

This forum helped me a lot. Let me know how did I do???

First time dealing with Infiniti, how does this look? by cobb1

I am down to choosing either Acura TL or Infiniti G35. I drove both on Saturday. Frankly I prefer the G35. How does this lease deal look in the Atlanta area.

g35 Journey with premium package, splash guards, tire and wheel package, and cargo net, freight charge............INVOICE shown to me was 29343 + 2155 + 114 + 345 + 37 + 715. Dealer willing to sell to me at 585 over invoice ($33294) plus an acquisition fee imposed by Infinit of 595. Lease proposed is for 24 months with 67% residual value and 0.00161 money factor on special 24 month money. Total down would be 1085 (first month + doc fee of 499, plus GA state fees). Monthly payment including GA sales tax for 24 months would be 538.58

Looks pretty good to me, but seems like we have some solid experts on here, so any help for this newbie appreciated.

cobb1,

I have two concerns about your lease deal...

(1) You should be able to get the G35 at invoice. Therefore, $585 over invoice is $585 too much.

(2) The dealer doc fee of $499 seems high.

See my lease proposal examples from previous posts. You need to be around $1,000 lower. But, I'm willing to bet my life that the dealer will, at minimum, either waive the $499 doc fee OR sell it to you at invoice. Under no circumstances should the dealer receive both; it must be one or the other.

Keep me posted.

John

Thanks for the help John. None of the dealers around Atlanta seem to waive the doc fees any longer. I argued about it with everyone I visited on Saturday and none would budge despite my polite threats to take business to someone that would.

My, that's very suprising. Well, if they won't waive the doc fee, would they be willing to sell the car at invoice? It's the rob Peter to pay Paul principle.

Good luck!

Hi Dennis,

I'm trying to go the VPP D route, but does not look good. I'm ok with going $500 above invoice, but they need to absord some of the negative equity. It's a tough sell, but i can always hold onto my 05 until next year for the 08 models, and healthier inventory.

I guess it is dealer greed in the state of GA. Prices are pretty competitive overall down here, but they find another way to put money in their wallets. The doc fee is even pre-printed on every sales contract of the dealers I visited on Saturday.

Want an '07, but stuck in an '04....thoughts? by superman2424

Here's the scoop: I drive an '04 G35X, loaded with Nav, XM.. the works.. Had to put the car in my father's name because my credit was not so good at the time.. I have 10 months on the lease, credit is now near 700 and I incorporated a consulting company 2 months ago so I'm throwing a tax deduction away by not having the car in my name. I went to the dealership and they told me to call infiniti financial.

Called I.F., and they sent me an early termination estimate.. $3900!!!!! I lived overseas and the car sat in the garage for 9 months and I'm $16,000 miles under my lease right now, yet I.F. sent me an estimate without even asking about mileage or shape of the vehicle. I've thought about trying to seel because Blue Book is $2,000 above loan payoff, but I don't want to go through that process, nor do I want to roll in over $3,000 in negative equity on a car that is so far under the mileage. Plus having my father's name on the current car and moving a new car into my name seems to cause issues at the dealership with cutting a deal.

I'd like to get into an 07 AWD with NAV & Premium packages.. MSRP according to infiniti.com is $38,200.. Anyone know the invoice and best solution to dumping my '04. Only 30,000 miles on it and looks brand new.. Thoughts??? Thanks in advance.

I ended up getting a fully loaded g35 sedan - prem, nav, tech, perf wheels/tires. The sales price was invoice $35,233 (MSRP was $38,615), buy rate MF, 0 down, 0 SD, just first payment and registration, etc.

$910 drive off and $566 per month after tax for 24 months - 15k miles per year.
