Vehicle Purchase Program

There is a employee price (plan A), employee's immediate family (plan B), friend or extended family (plan C), and suppliers / business associates (plan D). For plans A-C you have work for Nissan/Infiniti, have an immediate family member that does, or know someone who does (or know someone who knows someone). For plan D you have to work for someone who supplies Nissan/Infiniti or has a business relationship with them. Lots of companies listed, like Chase auto finance, dental insurance companies, State of Michigan, etc.

If you don't know anyone, then plan D would be your only choice. You can look for your employer at this link to see if you qualify.

There appears to be no limit on the number of plan C codes generated by a single employee. At one time Grubbs Infiniti in TX would sell cars to anyone for VPP if they were a member of a certain online forum. I assume they either had permission from Nissan or just had permission from a single employee and a copy of their ID badge. The GM that was doing this at Grubbs is no longer there and I don't think they are doing this any longer. It is possible some other dealer(s) would do this as well, but I have no idea who this could be.

As was mentioned, you probably can do as well/better on a coupe without the VPP code. On a sedan, others have reported prices pretty close to VPP prices - but it depends on the dealer and how much they are motivated to move a car. The nice part about VPP is you just tell them you have a VPP claim code and if they accept them there on that car (dealer's option, not obligated) then there is no negotiation. They do get to charge you a "doc" fee and you to pay (or negotiate) for any dealer installed accessories on the car you choose. So picking a dealer with no or low doc fee and one that does not put a lot of mop and glow on the cars means a good price with 0 hassle.

you could be right...i know they are in new jersey. i had an okay time purchasing. the internet manager was the best. everyone else was so-so...i did have issues with the service area. and they keep changing the spelling of my name and mailing address. that is really strange and i wonder if they have done this to anyone else.

it makes be think that something fishy is going on....

Looking to get a 2007 G35 Sport with premium package

I was quoted:
MSRP: ~36500
Invoice: ~33500
Sale Price: ~34200

Tax not included.

Is that a good deal? reasonable? horrible?
I thought it was reasonable.

Any input would be great.

$700 over invoice is not bad at all - as long as you are talking about a SEDAN and the dealer "doc" fee is not too high. I have seen folks post better prices by a bit, but a lot of buyers would love to have that as the dealer's offer.

I've been driving an ES 330 for over a year and I have come to loathe the car. The ECT just plain sucks. There is just no power when you hit the accelerator. I use DBW extensively just to keep it out of "overdrive" unless I am at cruising speed on the freeway. I'm looking forward to dumping the Lexus real soon now. I have never traded in a vehicle with 20K miles in my life. Just get the G. I will.

Paid less than $500 over invoice for a loaded G35S with Premium, Nav, Tech, and Spoiler. MSRP was $40,465, paid $37,300. With taxes and all, it was still less than MSRP.

Miami. All four SoFl Infiniti dealers were very willing to deal except for South Motors (and the staff at South Motors was extremely unprofessional).

Just picked up my G35 Journey with Premium, Nav, tech package, splashguards and "cargo net" for about 500 over invoice here in the southeast. Not a bad deal and this is without any of this VPP/VIP financing deals. Those guys don't offer any deals on financing as well. Love the car so far, much happier I got it over the TL or Audi.

Nice price on a nice car.

I test drove the very same car last week - I am looking for a 6mt w/tech and they had a base 6mt and the tech journey so I drove both.

Even without the tire package drove pretty nice, the auto is DS mode amazed me with its auto-downshifting when I slower for corners. The tech package is my must have, love the cruise and the camera. Have not driven one at night to try the headlights, but that is icing on the cake.

I love the looks of the TL but less power and FWD takes it off my list.

What colors did you get? Any dealer doc or prep fees on top of the $500? You might name the dealer (but not the salesperson) so that others in your area will know where to look for a good deal.
