The dealer that I mentioned earlier was JBA Infiniti in Ellicott City, MD. I highly recommend them.

Well, the dealership has 17 GS35s right now. And I would buy about 12 of them as they have the colors and options that I like. Granted that some of them are RWD instead of AWD...but that isn't too big of a deal for me. I think I'm going to wait...watch the inventory like a hawk...and then pounce on it if the deal is right. I've alredy received an email from the internet sales manager asking me if I have made a decision. I told him that I thought that the price was still too high and that I was going to look around at other vehicles. I haven't heard back from him...but I just sent him that email late last night...so it's still fairly early in the morning. Will keep you posted.

It seems that '07 MSRP pricing is now out and it is pretty much the same as '06. It will be interesting to see how long MSRP lasts in the marketplace.

Personally, I cannot believe that '07 engine now puts out (less) only 268 ft-lbs of torque. That is appalling

That's because they had to come up with at least 306HP to match the IS350. There's only so much tq you can get from a certain dispalcement without FI.

I'm in Chicago and have contacted quite a few dealers in the midwest......only one quoted below MSRP by $500.
Everyone else is selling MSRP...it's a hot car and they will not be discounting it for awhile

Wanted to share a bad experience that I had with a dealer in Long Island, NY. I spoke to the "Internet Director" over a couple of days via email & phone and finally arrived to a price of 31,300 exc. tax & pleates for a G35x, premium pkg and wood trim. Once I got there they did not hold up to their end. They wanted to give it to me for over $32,000 (can't even remember the exact figure). I was so upset ! They said the salesman had no right quoting me a price like that.

Obviously I didn't buy the car.

Has anyone ever experience anything like this? If so, how did you handle it?

Thanks!

My guy said they are only doing MSRP and if that is an issue with me than too bad. So I decided that I am going to purchase a Lincoln MKZ or MKX instead.

Yes, the 306 is the magic number and of course IS350 only puts out 277 ft-lbs too. The only reason the '07 G35 is close in 0-60 speed is because we have only seen the test for a stick. I bet, auto will be right at 6+ seconds because it is only a 5 speed whereas the IS is a 6 speed.

BTW: BMW M3 puts out 333 HP from similar displacement.

I always laugh when folks really focus on HP because given US speed limits torque is much more important...

2007 G35 Lease help by brigiese

I'd like to lease a 2007 AWD 4door G35. I live in Maryland. Here's the deal from Tysons Infiniti in VA with the options I want:

Base: 33,950
Cargo net: 50
NAV: 2,100
Premium Pac: 2,150
Slash guards: 140
Tech Pac: 1,100
Wood: 450
Frieght: 700

Total $40,640

Lease length - 39 months
Residual % - 57%
Money Factor: .00255

Driveoff- $697.47

Seems like a bad deal. What is a good monthly payment for this car? Can anyone recommend a way to a better deal? Should I wait until Jan 2007?

That money factor (.00255) translates to 6.12% APR which really isn't all that hot. Not sure what the current base money factors are for the '07 sedans, but I would imagine you could do better than that, depending on your credit.

Also, you could try to negotiate a discount off MSRP which would obviously have an impact on your monthly payment.
