Price I Paid for 06 G35 Sedan by bocatrip

I just left a deposit on a 06 G35 Sedan, Auto, Premium C and Nav. They are the only local dealer who is able to obtain the car I want, Ivory/Stone Premium and Nav.MSRP was $37,370 and I am paying $35,183 exactly $1,000 over invoice. The car is not yet in and I am getting a good price on my 02 325I which will give me an additional $1,000 for sales tax savings. I live in Boca Raton Fl and most dealers don't want to discount too much on the 06s because of all the 05s they still have.If I wait a few more months, I'm sure I might save some more on the G but my BMW will also drop in price. I tried for $500 over invoice but no luck. What do you guys think?

Just Stole a 2005 G35 Sedan by gnight

I just purchased a 2005 G35 Sedan RWD with A/T and Premium C package for $30,512 from Infiniti of Pleasanton (CA). MSRP was $35,110. They have lots of 2005 models left. Mine was still wrapped in plastic with 7 miles on the odometer. Infiniti is still providing 1.99% financing and $1250 cash back to the dealer as incentives. Now is the time to buy.

Out the door was right about $33K. Taxes of 7.25%, license fees of $319 and doc fee of $45. I am sure they have manual transmissions available. Pleasanton stocked up on 2005 models before the change over so they have an entire back lot filled with 2005s still wrapped in plastic. Give them a call. Chris Anderson was the internet manager I dealt with. I bid several dealers over the net and they were by far the lowest and the purchase experience was no hassle.

wow yet another great deal in the bay area. This makes me more optimistic that come next year I'll be able to just squeak an '06 G35 under my budget. I'm also surprised that you found a coupe 6MT as well -- definitely good to know the coupes aren't hovering near MSRP like they seem to be on carsdirect.com.

2005 G35 Auto Coupe - November Resid and MF by mitchuf

Two months ago I leased a 2005 Automatic Coupe (black on black) w/ premium pkg from one of the many South Florida dealers. ($424 per month before tax w/ 12k miles per year over 42 months.)
Flooding from hurricane Wilma submerged it in sea water. Needless to say, it is a total loss and I'm very thankful I put no money out of pocket aside from inceptions. (Good advice CarMan.)
Because Infiniti has pseudoGap insurance, they said they'll accept whatever settlement amount my car insurance company gets to and expunge my lease.
I'd like to get the same exact car: 2005 Automatic Coupe, black on black, premium pkg, splash guards.

If you have a moment, please provide the residuals and money factors for this car (w/ 12k miles per year) over 24, 36, 39, and 42 months.

Also, I read something about $1k cash to dealers. Will this apply to coupe leases too? Should I fight for a cap cost of invoice minus $1k?

Thanks,

Mitch

2005 G35 Sedan 6MT Prem by nyalgaidin

Just bought a 2005 G35 Sedan 6MT Prem A Black/Black for about $30200 before taxes/fees last week. Came out to $33200 out the door with 8.5% taxes and fees. Started negotiating at $34500 out the door. Invoice was $31670.

Vehicle was purchased from Serramonte Infiniti, just south of San Francisco. I probably could've gotten a few hundred more off, but I've been running dealerships for a week and was tired. Not to mention gas prices are killer.

Purchase experience was average all around, though I didn't get a full tank of gas out the door (forgot to check). Before you go in any dealership, have phone quotes from every close dealership on hand, with Edmunds/KBB invoice and TMV printout. Then make them beat the lowest dealer price by at least a few hundred. Repeat at other dealers. Never reveal how low you are willing to go.

Infiniti at Redwood City offered a similarly configured coupe for $1200 below invoice.

Found out next day the Seek button on the stereo sticks when pressed. Made an appointment and fixed today, no problems. Got a free carwash. Finding that shifting from 1 to 2 is less than smooth with a loud metal clicking sound from time to time. Will bring that in if it gets worse. Seems that quite a bunch of 6MT G35s have transmission problems.

The vehicle has been a blast to drive, especially switching from an SUV. Cornering instills absolute confidence, if just short of perfection. Torque is overwhelming, enough that if you shift a tad later than normal, you'll easily blow by the speed limit. Though I do miss the Grand Canyon storage compartments of the SUV.

Replying to my own message (first sign of insanity???), here's my pricing so far from 3 dealers in DFW area, 06 sedan, a/t, prem C, splash guards, XM radio, diamond graphite/stone/aluminum trim:

MSRP 36200 (or in region of)

- Sewell won't come down much below 35000 even, but dealing with them face-to-face, friendly, helpful service, very convenient to where I work. Only has white 05s left (if any). The current favorite, despite the higher price.
- Crest in Plano is offering 34650 (roughly) - MSRP was 36803 with tint & stripe (600 extra????), discounted to 35300, split difference with offer of 34000. So far the best deal, not sure about the tint&stripe costing extra, internet sales guy seems to think I now want a sand color (poor attention to detail).
- So far no response from Grubbs after an initial inquiry last Saturday (5 days ago). They snooze, they lose. Inconveniently located in mid-cities.

Just curious about the tint & stripe - is this standard on all G35s but NOT included in the MSRPs? What if I didn't want it?

Cheers,

Just got a 2006 G35 sedan by stchang

Dealer was Infiniti of Serramonte in the CA Bay Area. I paid Invoice + $500 + CA registration (~$300) + sales tax for the 2006 G35 AT graphite/stone + pkg C + nav. No trade. Didn't buy any dealer add-ons nor did I take the dealer financing.

He offered 2005 G35 for < invoice, but I declined. Used the Costco buying service. Whole thing took less than 2 hours.
