After spending hours looking at this forum and looking at EBAY prices for new and used G35s over the past nine months, I went to Infiniti of Raleigh on a Friday night to test drive the new 2005 G35 Coupe. I wasn't really ready or looking to buy especially b/c I wasn't willing to buy the car a a price close to the Edmund's TMV (for which in this area which was $650 off MSRP.) After a test drive, the salesman asked me what would it take to sell me this car (it had all the options I wanted 18" wheels, Prem Pack, trunk mat, splash guards in Charcoal ext/black int - with 9 miles on the odometer - SWEET) I promised myself that if he would go down to $1000 over invoice which is roughly $2,100 off MSRP I would do it. I was the only one in the whole showroom and I saw they had many coupes on the lot . He came down to $1,500 over, then $1,250, I held my guns and he came down to $1,000 over invoice + TAX,TTL and processing fee just under $36k out the door. I paid more for my wife's 2004 Pacifica. I also got 4.3% over 60 months when the going best rate for new cars at various low cost lending firms was 4.99%. No trade in here either!

Well I drove home in it and I look forward to going to work in the morning everyday -no matter what. The BOSE system plays my new Green Day cd like a dream and the car is quicker and tighter than the day before. Its pure FUN!!! Good Luck

The problem is that there are no incentives at all on the 2004 or 2005 G35 coupe. On a new 2004 sedan with minimal miles and a $2,000 incentive, I was able to negotiate $3,200 under invoice. Hope that helps.

Basically, it's like a $5000 insurance policy on the car at the end of your lease. If there are little dings in the paint, leather seats excessively worn, new tires needed, etc., it prevents having to pay all these types of fees on the back-end of the lease term. It made sense to me, but not something you have to have. Do some research on it and make sure it makes sense to you...it did for me.

Picked up my new '05 G35x today :) by shmoopy

FYI:

Took delivery today on my new '05 G35x (premium "C", nav, etc. -- brilliant silver w/ stone interior).

So far everything looks great. Am happy with the stereo, despite some of the concerns others have raised. Sure, I've heard better, but it is still quite nice, and well worth the money.

I purchased through Pfeiffer Infiniti of Grand Rapids, MI. The entire process was a pleasure, no games, no pressure... just straightforward negotiation and a fair result. If the after-purchase service is as good as the sales process, I'll be as pleased as punch. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I appreciate all the insight shared on this board. Best wishes to all!

I want to buy the '05 Coupe 6MT and was wondering if anyone has used the Consumer Reports Price Guide and if they have found it useful. I have no issue shelling out the $12 that they asking for it. But if it is not worth it then I might as well get a couple of drinks in a bar instead.

Hi all;

I am in the market to buy a new car, my M30 gave up on me
I found several 2004 G35 at the local dealer, most have a 35K sticker price.
Was wondering if anyone know if there is a good incentive going on for the 2004
I looked at the new A4, NICE but worried about the reliabilty
Any info is apreciated
Joe
