I have been looking for a G35 in Chicago, and the pricing for a 2004 G35 is all over the place for what new ones remain. The dealership experience also varies from no response (see above post) to response (Orland Park) with an outrageous price about a week after the initial request (not very timely). The approach to trade-in value is equally daunting with about a $5,000 difference on a $18,000 trade amongst the dealerships. Nothing has changed with respect to the sales experience and attempting to squeeze as much as possible out of the buyer. Good luck to all!

I was at this particular dealership on Sunday looking what they had in stock. I saw quite a few 2004 G35's that were marked sold and said new service loaner. Maybe that is why they didn't have any when you called.

This board has been very informative. Thanks to all contributors.

I am in the process of purchasing a 2005 G35x and have settled on a price of $750 over invoice, plus dealer-trade costs to procure the specific car I'm looking for.

I would appreciate your opinions on the wisdom of this deal, and what the cost of a typical dealer-trade might be.

Just got a quote in Atlanta market for 2005 G35 Sedan, base model (w/ sunroof) for $29, 750. The dealer told me that is 1% over invoice. Does anyone know if this is true? Also, do you think I can do better? Your help is much appreciated! Thanks.

I was quoted $32,060 for a G35x with sunroof without any haggling. I think I should be able to do better. This weekend I will offer $31,060 to them. If they don't take it, I will walk away, and wait for a few months before looking again.

Good luck.

Got a decent deal on G35 by aahire

Hi friends,
Just bought G35 sedan this weekend. Ended up paying 28000 for the base sedan without any options. I stay in Sunnyvale, CA. I guess I got the car below the invoice price because of quarter ending. No dealer initially was ready to go below invoice as the car normally sells for 500-800 over invoice. But I managed to get this price quote from a dealer 40 miles away. (I guess they were trying to get rid of a few long standing base cars). I took the quote to other dealers and after hard negotiations, they agreed to match. I also got the color I wanted.
I hope this helps someone out there. But please be prepared for serious negotiation with dealers. Almost everyone is trying to squeeze that last dollar out of you. Especially be weary of those finance guys. The sales man will try to show that he/she is on your side and is trying to get you a good deal. And would try to show as if his/her manager is not agreeing. The manager will never speak to you directly during the negotiations. It’s a big dirty game. The key is PATIENCE. Be prepared to walk out and let the sales guy know that you could walk out.
And I am loving every minute in my new G35… awesome car…

Hey,

Has anyone dealt with Infiniti Of Huntsville (Alabama)?

How was your buying and/or service experience?

I am primarily looking at the M35 but I figured more people from the G35 thread may have dealt with my local dealer.

Thanks.

Yes.
I guess it included the destination charges. I ended up paying close to 30,660 (28k + Taxes and Fees)out the door.

Aahire,

Look like an awesome deal!

But ...."I ended up paying close to 30,660 (28k + Taxes and Fees)out the door.". If the sales tax is around 6%, the destination charge should be on top of the 28k price.

But anyway, it is a very good deal at this time of the year. If I can do as good as you, I should be able to get 35X with Moon roof below 31k, a price I will try to get this weekend.

Enjoy your new car!
