Still looking for 6MT by indydriver

Scanning dealer inventory via the Infiniti website....none in Indy, Chicago, Milwaukee, Grand Rapids, Ft. Wayne, Dayton, Cincinnati, Louisville or points inbetween. Yet, Infiniti has a two page ad in the Feb. C&D just for the 6MT sedan. What gives? Where is the product they are creating demand for? I'm going to buy something else if they don't get some inventory to the states.

It would appear that Infiniti overestimated demand for '04s as the '05 model year approached. Infiniti of Lisle (Ill.) has 87 '04 sedans according to their website and only one '05 which is a coupe. That's probably why there is a $1000 rebate offer on '04 models in January. I suspect they are holding back delivery of '05 models until the '04 inventory comes down a little.

I am looking to purchase or lease an '05 G35 RWD sedan, Lakeshore Blue, Premium Pkg C, Nav, wood trim, rear spoiler only. I am in the Tysons Corner area of NoVA. Seems the dealerships only have the AWD available. RWD in short supply until Spring (?)
Any advice on pricing or when RWD will truly be available.

i received a quote of approximatle 31,000 for the following
2005
G35X (AWD)
with sunroof, mats and trunk tray as option.
 
i know the inventories are still piled up from 2004. the 2005 RWD with prem pkg, you sould be able to get for 31500 easily. i know it looks below invoice, but thats a real possiblity. also checkout the infinti.com and go to build and price and then locate dealer and the inventory. infiniti web site is much more up to date than many other car websites regaring dealer inventories. i know the RWD is not in a great supply but they are available..

Thanks Charlie for the advice. After making my first post on this forum I drew no responses from anyone in Texas relating their buying experiences. So, I really had no market feel.
 
I made the deal last Friday & picked it up Sat. I really like the car but in retrospect I'm not proud of the deal that I got. Would now appreciate opinions from others on my deal:
2005 G35 RWD auto sedan/Prem Pkg C/Nav/Wood/trunk mat/free maint/paid $35,210 (MSRP $37,110 Inv $33,928) Hit me with your critique, please!

Wish I would have seen your posts sooner I probably could have helped you out. I am in houston also. There are only 2 owners for the 4 infiniti dealers here in houston (west/north) and (Clr lake/SW) so it is harder to get a deal. I went to dallas (Grubbs) and bought my FX almost two years ago and got it for 400 over invoice 3 months after introduction. So yes you could have done better but as long as you are happy with the car don't worry about it and you did not pay sticker. next time use the internet to request quotes form the houston/austin and dallas dealers. The prepaid maintenance is only worth about 500 bucks and I saved over 3k by going to dallas. And even though I didn't buy locally I still get all the perks and have been treated really well by SW infiniti. Enjoy your ride!

I've been reading this forum for a few days, trying to get the feel for the G35x prices. So far what I have seen the best deals to be approximately $400-$500 over invoice. You paid $1200, but it includes free maintenance (for how long?) which may cost you around $300+ per year at the dealership. So, if you got the maintenance for 2 years, you paid the same as others
 
does anyone know if the fiscal year end of March 31 is actually a correct date and is it really worth waiting for it?

Thanks for the reply. I've gone to the Infiniti site and tried the build and locate. However, it asks for a zip code and I already have scoured the dealerships within 150 miles. I wish it would let me search larger areas. I am willing to go anywhere that I can find this car but I'm getting a bit frustrated.
However, I am nothing if not persistent

Try this Zip Code;
19090 for Willow Grove PA, I just checked they have 5 G35 cars (I mean RWD) in stock. Search for 150 miles from this zip code, and I am sure you will get many more.

Just put in different zip codes to do your search, as someone has suggested. When doing my search, I picked out several places I thought I could get cheap plane tickets to, and weren't too far to drive back. It worked well for me.
