I'm looking to purchase the 2005 G35x AWD in the Detroit, MI area. Only one dealer nearby, the nearest two are over 100 miles away (of which one is out of state). I've been trying to negotiate via e-mail. The best offer so far is 3% off MSRP. The car is in such demand that I'm not even sure what I should be offering. I'm figuring out that the invoice should be about $33,735 (includes the $1000 dealer holdback I've heard about). Any suggestions as to a fair price to offer and realistic expectations would be appreciated. Does anyone have experience with the dealerships here in the Detroit area? The car I want: 2005 G35x AWD Premium C package Splash Guards Trunk Mat Thank you in advance.

Go to another dealership and do the same thing until you are happy with the deal. Don't tell them you have already been to 1 Infiniti dealer earlier and have failed. You will never know what kind of deal you can get unless you try and of course do your hw. The end of the year will be an excellent time to buy and hopefully there will be incentives maybe even on the AWD models. Good luck! 007 |

I picked up an 05 G35 Coupe in Tampa about 2 weeks ago. It was the first one with 19 inch wheels that the dealer delivered for 05. Diamond Graphite with Premium, AT, Aero, Sport and Splash Guards. Got it for $1500 off MSRP. I started at $500 over invoice. They countered that the cars were just coming in and were scarce, and they could sell all of them for MSRP. The purchasing experience was not as good as I expected when a Corporate "executive trainee" tried to push me into a finance deal that I refused. I prefer buying rather than leasing my cars. He told me that I could not put my full trade-in into the car, that no bank would accept the amount of equity I wanted to put in the car on a finance deal take back $10,000 from the $22,000 for my trade-in and that I should lease the car after taking back this amount and putting $12,000 in to the lease. I told him this was BS, and started to walk. Another salesperson (local for the dealer) came up and worked out my terms- with much less interest involved than the first person. A bank took the deal. I do not know if they played bad guy/good guy on me or what, but, this was an unpleasant experience to what should have been a good one when buying a neat car like the G35 Coupe. Apparently, they gave me $500 more for my car then they wholesaled it for, and the first guy was trying to make it back in the financing area? BTW, the coupe was flawless at delivery and except for some minor rattles that seem gone now remains so.

Elk Grove Infiniti, I have to give those guys two thumbs up for the salesguy and the finance manager. I have no trade-in so was much less a hassle here. What's surprising is they didn't ask me at all if I want any accessories or extended warranty. I just told them I want to finance the car through my credit union for 60 mo. They came back with the the rate and the numbers and I signed the paperworks. Best buying experience for me so far and really looking forward to deal with them again. I believe the people at the dealer really try to see how much hw you have done and how much you understand the buying, selling, financing process for cars. So if they think you know it, they will most likely insult you less and go directly to the point. 007

Just wanted to tell you guys about my deal. Last week I bought a 04 G35 Sedan Auto w/ Prem. Package, Sports Suspension, Trunk Mat and Splash Guards with Diamond Graphite Exterior and Graphite Interior and 30% tint on all windows for $30,700 (about $1,000 under invoice). Also got a great rate of 2.9% for 60 months. Tried for a lower price but this was the last color/options combo in So CA. Love the car! |

I'm interested in leasing the 2004 G35X, the All Wheel Drive. My local dealer is offering what seems like a reasonable deal (there is this new Winter Engagement Event that is geared towards liquidating the 04's) , and i wanted to be assured that it really is. Here are the details. 42 month lease with no money down except the motor vehicle fees. the MSRP on the vehicle is 35890 which includes the premium package. 15k miles per year. the payment offered is 389.99 per month with a trade that is being appraised at $3,000(Plus the 6% tax i'm saving on the trade in value) i can go down to $299.99 per month. please advise if this makes sense and whether i'm doing ok. i have no idea how to calculate lease deals. |

Any purchase experiences on '04 G35s sedans in the Dallas or Ft.Worth areas? Even if not, other prices paid on '04 G35 sedans would be of interest. Also, what was best interest rate obtained?
