Quick couple of points; 1. You can buy your car in California without having to travel all the way there. $650 will cover the shipping. Try Riverside Infiniti. They do '04s for $500 over I believe. 2. Any Infiniti dealer has to offer service on the cars. |

| Thanks for your comments on my previous post. I will be buying in California & bringing it home to the NW. I've talked to several dealers in the San Fran Bay Area - price from one is $500 over manuf invoice; price from another is $3,200 off MSRP. One said he has seen several buyers from the NW. BTW, Portland was the worst quote I've seen with inflated price over MSRP as they add sealents and leather treatment, etc. (for $1,400 extra cost!) Why would anyone buy in a G35 in the NW? | |
| OK, so get a better deal in Calif as opposed to the rip-off dealers in Oregon (only one). But if you buy in Calif and stipulate registration and use in Oregon, can you escape the Calif sales tax? | |
| You won't have to pay this. You'll get a one time permit from the dealership to drive the car on Californian roads to get out of the state. | |

jaonw do you mind emailing me the info. you have discovered re bringing your g35 coupe back to the nw from california? |

| Just picked up diamond graphite / graphite G35x in Northern NJ. Non-premium package with moonroof, splash guards, trunk mat for $31,300 (MSRP $33,670) plus TTL. | |

uscgirl - Thanks for the reply and info. Since you purchased the vehicle, it makes sense that you did not have to pay the %550 bank fee. I believe that is only for the leases. The $45 Doc fee should only be for purchase loans through IFS. One dealer wanted me to pay both fees for a lease. This is what I wasn't quite sure about. It turns out that my decision is still on hold, as my current car is in the shop and not sure I will get much in trade for it. If I do end up getting one, it will most likely be through South Bay. I spoke to the same sales person you did and she has given me the price at $33,380 for G35x w/ premium, sirius, splash guards and trunk mat, including destination and marketing. Seems quite reasonable to me. |

| Wibble - Thanks for the clarification on this. I'm sure it has been discussed more than a few times here and I appreciate you helping me out, in spite of that. | |
| I live in the Seattle area and there is only one dealer here. At first they wouldn't deal at all but when I told them I could get a better deal in CA they said they would knock off $800 the MSRP. I ended up using a broker and bought a G35X at $100 over invoice (plus $100 for the broker) and shipped here in 48 hours (cost to ship = $475). | |
