#10949 of 11067 First offer? by johntalouette

I have decided to buy a new 2011 G37x AWD, and I'd love some advice on what to offer and what should be my ceiling.

I haven't decided whether I want navigation yet, but I definitely want the Premium Package with a few other, minor features. Both of my finalists -- one with nav and one without -- are listed as "clearance" by my local dealer, in Kansas City.

Without navigation, which I'm leaning toward, is priced by the dealer now at $38,797. TrueCar suggests the market average price is $37,401. Dealer price, according to TrueCar, is $35,953.

If I decide on the navigation package, too, the listed clearance price is $39,875. The market average on TrueCar is $38,899. Dealer cost is listed at $37,519.

So are these market averages reasonable? Can I do better? What would be a good price to start at -- and, more important, what should I be looking at for my final, out-the-door price?

Thanks so much for the help. Looking forward to joining the Infiniti family.

Those prices seem high..

We leased a 2011 G37XS (no NAV) in October.... at about the same selling price they are giving you now..

They have pretty good lease deals on 2012 models... have you considered leasing?

I am thinking about making an offer on this car:

any thoughts on what is fair?

if you do not want to copy and paste the link, here is brief car data: 2011 Infiniti M37x, $43,000; 4529miles, AWD, 7 speed, looks like all the standard equipment for this model.

Any input would be much appreciated. I have not bought a car in 16 years, so am completely clueless.

Hi all,

I live in SF bay area. I want to lease a G37 with premium package and navigation package. The MSRP I got is $41,495. The invoice price Edmunds.com gives me is $38,268. I don't know what the proper price to settle down with dealer to calcuate my monthly rent. How about $38,000??

Can anybody tell me or point me to a correct resource to look up a proper sales price?

BTW, is the aprised trade-in value of my old car on Edmunds.com really an excutable good value with dealers?

Thanks a lot.

I drove away today in a brand-new G37x, white with black interior.

Packages: Premium, Navigation
Accessories: splash guards, trunk carpet, kick plates
Sticker: $43,835

Dealer: Ray Catena Infiniti of Bridgewater (New Jersey)

Car price: $38,830
Tax: $2,340 (Pennsylvania)
Doc fee: $249 (yes, high ... I negotiated and he responded by reducing the price of the car $170 from first offer of $39K flat)
Registration: $125
Out-the-door cost: $41,544

The deal was negotiated entirely online. Infiniti provided 1.9% financing for 66 months.

A great deal with service and speed at delivery to match. Well worth the hour drive from my home in eastern PA. I'm very happy with the entire process, am loving the car, and would recommend the dealership to anyone.

#10957 of 11067 G37 incentives... by sewellgsm

Mar 26, 2012 (5:13 pm)

Sorry this is so late...usually Infiniti has a big end of fiscal year blow out...but I guess they are happy with their numbers because they did not do anything much different from Jan or Feb.

2011 - ended all incentives - they gave the dealers $3000 for every G sedan or coupe they still had in inventory...so any dealer should be willing to go $3k back of invoice in a heartbeat.

2012:

G25: 1.9% up to 66 months, 2.9% up to 72 months
G37 sedan: same rates + $1000
G37 coupe: same rates + $1000
Convertible: same rates + $1000

If you lease a g37 sedan or coupe and currently own an Infiniti you are eligible for a $1000 Owner Loyalty Rebate (not good w/ purchase offers above).

To me - this stinks...in 2009, 10, and 11 - Infiniti came with much more incentives. I've heard they have allocated money towards advertising this year and the launch of the JX....

However, just because the incentives are not as good as they were years ago - the G is an awesome vehicle for a great price (the lease is superb as well) and there is no better time than this week to get one! (In Texas, you pay no sales tax if you lease!)
