Good news for me...and hopefully for you.
After 11 attempts, 2 dealers, and lots of grief, Infiniti is going to repurchase my car (plus tax etc. minus wear & tear). They were not able to determine the intermitent source of battery drain - even after they experienced the problem in the shop! : )
Contact the BBB Autoline (Arlington VA). I pled my case to the local Arbitrator (whose decision is binding - only if I want it to be!). BBB was excellent. Very positive experience.

I test drove the M35 and G35 at Greenwich and Ramsey and was going to wait it out for the 07 G35 and try and deal with Pepe, my local dealer. I now have really cold feet about a new 'first year' Infiniti..too heavy on gas and brakes that may wear out prematurely. I am now intersted in a good deal on a left over 06 Lexus GS300 when the 07 GS350 comes out.

I have had the most annoying creaking noises coming from the tops of my doors/windows for over a year with my 2004 G35x. I took my car to the dealer twice to see if they could eradicate this problem, but to no avail. I have tried silicon spray and that works for about an hour of driving, and then the creaking starts again. I have heard that it has something to do with the flexing of the car and not having enough "give" in the window casing unit.
Has anybody had any problems like this?? The noises seem to come from the two rear windows mostly, but now has moved to the front passenger window as well. It has become like Chinese water torture....all I hear when I'm driving my car is the creaking, above the radio and everything. Before I trade the car in and buy a new one (yes, it is THAT bad and annoying) I want to try to fix it. Any suggestions!?

I am experiencing the same problems with my 2003 G35. 5 times with a dead battery since December. Replaced battery in February and, of course, when I took it in today to have it checked, their electrical check indicated "no drain" on the battery. The service manager told me to pull a particular fuse when I am gone for more than a day.
I called Infiniti Consumer Affairs and told them that I wanted someone to give me a credible explanation of why the battery dies. Not holding my breath......

I also have replaced my RSAs with the Avons. The rears are wearing better but still wear more on the middle treads. However the fronts are feathering on the insides as most of the unidirectional tires on the coupes do. Since I have made numerous complaints to Infiniti Consumer Affairs about my front tire feathering, and I am on my third set of tires, I have come to the end of the line for tolerating the lousey issues, with tires, brakes, and paint. The front suspension/alignment issue with the negative camber that can't be adjusted resulting with inner front feathering is the last straw for me. My car has been aligned constantly and is always withing the "manufacturer's specs". The 350Z has the same issues and a TSB was issued which did nothing to resolve the problem. For me, I am planning on dismounting, flipping, remounting, rebalancing, and switching my front tires from one side to the other. This will give me enough time to get some mileage out of my front tires before they are junked. By the way, I have 2,000 miles on my Avons, and the fronts are feathering badly. I am planning on making it through to December so that I might purchase an 07 Lexus GS350. I've tried Infiniti and for me have had enough. Don't get me wrong, I love the G35 Coupe if it were not for these issues and poor customer relations to fess up to problems instead of dismissing them as "car is functioning as designed". By the way, this is after 3 years of ownership and only 15,000 miles on my car. At least I will get a good trade in value for the low miles. In the meantime, I'll hang in and maybe there might be some resolve with the front suspension on these cars. Am I dreaming?

If you have not already done so, hire a lawyer. The ONLY way that Nissan will get the message on something like this is to lose big bucks. This situation is not unique to you and is regularly reported on any number of message boards. Sue them. I hate litigation, but Corporations are given every break by this administration so let's make them be responsible. SUE THEM.

I have the same problem! Only hear the "wheel noise" when I am braking, never when I am accelerating. The dealership has been absolutely no help. I have heard every half backed excuse in the world from them. The service manager actually told me with a straight face that this was normal on a coupe. This was at 3500 miles and during my first check up. I asked why I didn't hear it on the loaner sedan I was driving and why I didn't hear the tire noise when I was accelerating, why do I only hear it between 20-40 mph? He stated the sedans were quieter than the coupes. He responded that it was probably because I over inflating the tires. What a LOAD OF CRAP! 32 lbs per sq in is recommended level. I love the way this car handled the first 7500 miles but this has been just one of multiple problems that the service dept at Infinity of Raleigh NC cannot get fixed. In fact most every thing they touch has gotten worse not better. I had an acceleration sensor on the transmission burn out and it left me on the side of the road. They replaced it with the new "improved" model and now my car runs like a Civic. Absolutely no acceleration like before. Every time you give it gas there is a perceptible hesitation. The car now tries to go into passing gear every time you give it any gas. I hate this company and what they have done to a great little coupe. I thought I was buying good service and knowledgeable techs, but the experience has not produced either. All I know is never again! THIS WILL BE MY LAST INFINITY.

I have had similar creaking noises, that I kept hearing coming from the front dash, to roof area. Yes, water torture to say the least. It was driving me crazy, since I hear it coming from the same vicinity, but I cant pinpoint the exact location. Here's my eerie twist...
Long story short, ends up that the noise actually was coming from the leather on the stick shift. Was very surprised how the sound travels, but everytime I hear the sound, still seeming to come from the front dash/roof area, I move the leather casing around the stick, and surely enough, it goes away. After getting used to the aesthetics of the car, yes, of course, the noise certainly was coming from the middle console.
Certain of the source of noise? Can you definitely reproduce it? Couldnt hurt to see if it actually comes from another place.

They have adjustable control arms in the aftermarket for these cars that will help one obtain a more tire wear friendly suspension adjustments and possibly promote better handling.
