A while back there was a discussion about the tire pressure monitors and if the warning light would be triggered if you used aftermarket wheels without the pressure monitors installed.

Experience varied.

Now I know. The light is triggered after a few miles. In the 06 Coupe, the low tire pressure light blinks for a while and then turns solid.

The good news is that it is the same color as the instrument lights and sits off to the left out of the way. Because of this it blends in and can be ignored.

So….the warning light does come on but it’s a non-event.

The outside of the lens on the 05 would get a foggy look but I could rub it off. I thought it was wax or polish on the plastic lens but never really checked it out.

Have not had the problem on the 06.

How in the heck do I set a pause on the on-board phone book in the Bluetooth equipped Coupe?

I have tried every manner of star, #, space, pause and even speed dial and yet can’t seem to get it. The pause is critical to getting into voice mail and through switchboards for me as I am sure it is for everyone. Any idea of how to get it done?

I’m using the Verizon version of the Razor which I believe is different than the Cingular.

When I say the word space or pause the Infiniti system sees it as the number of the key of the first letter in the word.

I even moved the numbers requiring a pause to my speed dial group but that doesn’t work either. For some reason all this does is get me a Verizon recording about reaching a wrong number.

Help………

Thanks, Roll

Had the same fuel sensor problem at around 15,000 miles. Dealer replaced sensor, however I still have a problem filling the tank completely??? Also, most recently, the CD changer stopped working. I have not gone back to the dealer yet.

We have had the same problem. The car has been jumped over 20 times, batteries replaced, weeks in service, etc. This car is an Infiniti g35 2003. Dealer initially blamed it on a remote starter that was installed, but even after de-installing it still persists. Tried to get Infiniti to buy the lease out, no luck. Have resorted to the better business bureau after appeals with infiniti went nowhere. Have you resolved your problem? BBB has negotiated some reimbursement from infiniti and to have an infiniti "expert"look at it.

I live in Montreal Canada, hense the X model, it's a joy in the winter. For about 4 months a year, I roll on ugly black rims and blizzak tires. I noticed that light going on as well, but very rarely (like maybe 5 times all winter) Obviously, this happened cause the winter rims had no sensors in them. The few times that the light DID go on, I was on the highway at speeds above 60 mph.

For g35 owners, also note that although we have a full size wheel and tire as a spare, that wheel doesn't have a sensor in it. One of my wheels got scuffed very lightly (thanks to my wife When I told my buddy who happens to work at infiniti to swap my wheels, he did, but he also told me that he swapped the sensor from my scuffed wheel to my spare. Anotherwards, the spare has no sensor. Just thought I'd pass that on.
Ted.

Trunk sensor for keyless entry 05 sedan by aaaaar

I have an '05 G sedan with the keyless entry system, which can also be used to open the trunk. Sometimes when I shut the trunk lid, it pops back open and emits a warning beep that does not stop until I unlock the front door. Apparently it thinks my key transponder is inside the trunk.

Of course this doesn't happen when I take it to the dealership. Does anyone else have this problem?

Thanks!

Nope. Didn't have it in the 05 and don't have it in the 06.

Sorry for not replying sooner. No the problem has not been resolved. To date we have had 3 batteries, 2 starters,4 stereos and a computer board replaced. They told me last time that they think they have it now. Apparently the stereo is draining the battery even when the car is off. After waiting for over a month with no stereo (and no climate controls) we got the car back. The first time we tried to play a CD we got an error message(the same as the first time we had it replaced) and now we have to bring it in again to replace the stereo that they have replaced THREE times before. The car hasn't died in the last two weeks, but I don't trust it anymore OR the dealership.

I also have a 2005 G35X. Have had brake issues since early mileage.

Who is that dealer? Wish I bought my car there. I had my brake pads changed at 11,900 miles and later one of the service managers said the pads are made to last 12,000 miles. When I took it in at 15,000 miles, they said on my next visit (18,600 miles) I would need new pads and rotors. I can't wait to ask them what happened to the pads that last 12,000 miles.
I think that early 2005's still have the same problem the 03's & 04's had but Infiniti isn't admitting it. They only admitted to the problem with the 03's & 04's after a class action law suit was filed.
