I agree! This board does stink! By any chance have you found a better place to go for answers regarding your G35?

g35 sedan CD changer malfunction by sl530

The CD changer in my sedan stopped working the other day displaying a message on the display screen indicating that the system was detecting a disk error. I have removed all CD's and reinstalled with new and continue to get the same error. Has anyone had this same problem? What is fix if any?

Probably you will have to return to your dealer. That will be the best way to repair the unit, especially if you are still under the original warranty period.

I love my Avon's for the rear. Awesome tires, very highly rated on tirerack.com. Great buy too.

Bad belts or pulley? by area123

Had my 03 coupe checked at the dealer for a sort of growling noise seeming to come from a pully bearing on the front of the motor (mostly when cold). He assured me it was just the belts. But the belts looked in great shape to me (55k miles) and the noise only seemed to happen when cold. Anyway, for $140 I told him I'd replace the belts myself, just put them in the car.

Anyway, when I got the bill for all the other stuff, the belts were there but listed as warranty items, so no charge. Should the belt replacement have been a warranty item too? Seems strange that belts would be a warranty item but not the service to change them.

Besides that I don't think the belts will fix it so they'll end up getting this one back to replace a bearing or pulley or something anyway.

I have the Avon 550A/S 17s. They are my third set of tires after only 15,000 miles. My first two set of tires wore out in the rear middle treads after only 6-7,000 miles. The front of the Avons are already starting to feather on the front inside tread areas as all the Coupes do. I have not paid for any of my tires so I am not complaining about cost, however the Coupe's 3 weakest areas are Paint, brakes, and it's eating up tires.

Just a thought, but if the tires wore out in "the rear middle treads", sounds like over-inflation to me. The front inside "feathering" sounds like an alignment issue. Also, do you drive the car in a sporting manner? Not that there's anything wrong with this but lower mileage from a set of tires would be expected. This does not condone only 6-7000 miles out of a set of tires but all factors must be considered when abnormal wear occurs.

Mine doesn't eat tires at all. I've had my avons for about 15k miles, still look brand new. They are 10x (at least) better than the stock Goodyears which lasted about 40k miles. Still have the original goodyears on the front, have about 5k miles left according to dealer.

I just took my 05 G35x with 19,000 miles to the dealer for the brakes last week and was told that it needs new front pads AND rotors. They are trying to tell me it is normal wear and tear--like I'm stupid enough to believe that! I spoke to Infiniti Consumer Affairs and they are saying the same thing. The owner of the dealership said he would talk to Infiniti and get back to me later this week to see what they might be able to do. This problem along with the doors/windows clicking and rattling constantly (something they can't seem to figure out how to fix)is enough to make me never buy another Infiniti again. BTW, the rear brakes are fine.
