We have cingular and use a Razor with our 06 G35 sedan. Works fine. The voice quality from the car to the recipient is not that great. Sounds very tinny. The quality into the car is fine.

2005 w/17K Miles Need New Front Brake Pads by nycny

I took my car to my local mechanic and he said I needed new front brake pads when the car hit 19k miles. I didn't think much of it since he said this is within the range of normal wear and tear. However, based on the postings on here, I thought it might be covered under the warranty. I spoke to the Infiniti Consumer Affairs representative. She said that the warranty was valid for '03 and '04 models for specific VIN's. '05 models are not covered at all. Did anybody get Infiniti to cover the brake pads for a '05 car?

The brake warranty is only for 03 and 04 G35s.

Hi I was wondering if you ever resolved the problem. I have the same issue at 70-80 on an 05 g35 sedan w/ 8700 miles on it. I don't remember it doing before 2 weeks ago.

Please advise
Thanks

Hi Patty,
To start with I have been a state licensed master mechanic, aircraft mechanic, and saleried engineering technician for G.M. for the last 22 years.I have seen your problem before on other cars including my own.The problem is caused by a high frequency vibration between the pads and rotors.Yes the grease does help short term, but on my own car a permanent fix was to clean pads and pistons then apply silicon to piston contact points (1/8" thick) allowing this to become tacky and then reassemble. I hope this solves your problem, it
 fixed mine.

Questions about the 2006 Coupe by rollbar

Can automatic door lock be coded to "on" by the consumer? By the shop?

What about having the wheel rotate up out of the way when the ignition is turned off and the drivers door opened?

Any other options that the consumer or shop can turn off or on?

Thanks,

Brake and Tires Problems by wondergal

Question regarding my 2003 G35... It has about 38000 miles, the front brakes and rotors have been replaced twice along with the rear break pads. This will make the second time, I have needed to replace the right rear tire, because it is bald. I spoke to a gentlemen over at America's Tires, and he recommended I buy 4 new tires that are all the same size, so I can rotate them. Is this okay to do? Please advise Thanks in advance.

You are lucky you got 17K out of your brake pads on your 05 G 35. My pads had to be changed at 11790 miles. One of the service managers at Pepe Infiniti in White Plains told me the brake pads in this car are designed to last 12,000 miles. On my last regular service visit, I was told I would probably need brake pads and new rotors at 18,000 miles. I wish I never bought the car!!!!!!!!!!!!or the 100,000 mile warranty.
