i am the owner of a Ford Contour, 4 cyl. 1998 and the battery is fully charged and bought 5-05 with a 2 yr. warranty. i had the battery tested and it is still fully charged, but when i turn the keys, nothing, very faint door chime and then when i turn the key, nothing. I know i need to change the positive battery cable but could that be the only problem that im faced with? There is a connection that is connected to the battery from the starter both neative and positive the positive wire has 2 cables coming form it, one that connects to the battery cable and the other connects to the side of the other connection that is connected to the postive cable and held on by a nut screwed into the side of the cable to keep the cable on the post tightly. so to get you a visual, draw a circle and then draw a line coming to it from opposite sides, one going to the power distribution box and the other going to the starter. cufusing itsnt it. but the car still does not start. HELP ME please.
