that eco-friendly paint. No volatile organic compounds, but no stick either. At least it's more prone to orange peel. It's true that the red seems to be significantly worse than the other colors on the G. I have a red Honda (Acura) with red paint and so far (knocks on wood) so good, over 8K miles and four months, including a several-thousand-mile high-speed road trip. |

| Personally i believe this redesign is tragic. Infiniti really messed up an otherwise near perfect G35 Coupe. The interior is very feminine and fraught with gaudy appointments, the exterior is a horrible mash up of confusing shapes. I fail to see what the design team was trying to accomplish. The previous model G35 Coupe was sleek and taught with absolutely gorgeous lines. Clean and graceful. possibly the only thing it lacked was an ipod dock to the sound system. the interior was sleek and visually clean. Navigation went to hide away and made for a less distracting environment. What were they thinking? Did i see a chrome edge on the spoiler? How girlie do they want to make this coupe? It went from killer gorgeous to pug ugly. | |

Hi, I am a college student looking into buying a used G35 coupe (03-06). Currently, I have a mustang but I'm ready for a change. If you would answer my questions below, I would greatly appreciate it. 1. How much does it usually cost to fill up the gas tank at todays current gas prices--$4.00/ gallon? 2. How many gallons of gas does the coupe hold? 3. Is it very expensive to take this car to the shop for maintenance, oil changes, etc? Since this is a foreign car, would the techs at Wal-Mart do an oil change or do you have to take it to an Infiniti dealer? 4. How realiable is the cars in terms of not having to take it to the shop very often? I don't have the time, patience, or money to take this car in and out of the shop 6. Is it a practical car for a college student who doesn't want to spend alot of money on a car (pmts and up keep)? Any answer to these questions will be greatly appreciated and I look forward to hearing your responses

Replying to: crossfireman3 (Jul 14, 2008 6:06 pm) Tank hold 16.5 gallon total. Oil changes are normal price. I bought lifetime oil changes from my dealer for $300. I change the oil every 3750 miles. You do not have to use the dealer. My car (2005 coupe - sport suspension - automatic) has never been to the dealer for any maintenance other than oil changes and wiper blades. - 40,000 miles. Practical depends on what you pay for it. Tires are expensive and do not last long. If you live in cold climates, you will need winter tires and summer tires. All seasons are not great in heavy snow and ice. I think it is a great car. |
