I second that...go for it! Once you get the hang of it, rollerblading can be really good exercise. Having said that, I realized I haven't used mine in a year or so. (pssst...I'll be 41 in Feb) Stephen |

I own a pair of blades, used to play roller hockey. Wear knee pads and wrist guards. Wow, they recalled the automatic? That thing had been bullet proof. They say just 800 or so were actually affected. Hyundais are recommended? Wow, Hell has frozen over. Actually, we saw it coming. A lot of things about the Sonata impressed me, like the multi-hinged trunk and the hood struts, plus the headliner and carpeting inside. But all 3 Subies are still best bets in used car buys according to CR's just published Buying Guide. -juice |

Holy moly! We're getting hit by a major storm out here in the SF Bay Area:
http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2002/11/08/BA89517.DTL
Winds gusts up to 70mph and torrential rain. Our house was without power from 8PM last night until this morning. Trees and branches everywhere!
I tried driving to work today, but many of the freeways were flooded (some closed completely). After getting 6 miles in one hour, I decided to VPN-it from home.
Even in my trusty Forester, I was a bit tense driving home last night as the wind gusts pushed me left to right even while crawling along at 30mph! It was raining upwards!
This big a storm is unusual for the Bay Area let alone this early in the season. I'm thinking it's going to be an awesome snowboarding season! Ken |

I wonder if the sudden change in Impreza owner demographics with the WRX has something to do with the change in ratings. I would think the new Impreza, from a fit and finish standpoint, is better than the previous generation. Ken |

Wow, stay home. Though you could wash that undercarriage! -juice |

From the amount of standing water I drove through, my undercarriage has got to be debris-free! Ken (staying dry) |

I wonder if Yokohama or Bridgestone make bolt-on paddle wheels? Bob |

Maybe Subaru should branch out and make amphibious cars? But only if they can tow Class II trailers, right Bob? -juice |

How about a Subie watercraft? Bob |

I first got on a pair at age 46 with the daughter in high school. I had skated a lot with the 'adjustable' skates that fit over your shoes (complete with skate key) as a kid .. anyone else have those??? .. but I have to admit .. even though I really wanted to inline ... I was nervous at first .. didn't tell the b/f I'd done it until after the first couple of outings .. and could prove I could do it without breaking a hip! I enjoy it ... won't tell my age .. but that was two years ago .. |
