OB 3.6R is $28k, Premium $29k, Limited $31k, add $695 freight to each.

Yikes!

EX-L AWD is similar to the Limited, heated leather + 6CD + moonroof.

$34020 plus you forgot $710 freight, Bob. That is $34,730, yikes. About $3 grand more than an Outback.

Boy am I glad, though. It will help keep the numbers down, so I don't hurt my eyes looking at that beast!

Venza V6 AWD comes up to $34,240 once you add freight, sunroof, 6CD, and heated leather seats.

Outback actually has a pretty decent price advantage.

This is long...

• Ram (to become its own brand, distinct from Dodge) could expand into large 18-wheelers.

• Dakota could become a Ridgeline-like unibody pickup, but heavier-duty I'm sure.

Speaking of pulling the trigger… we bought a 2010 MB GLK350 4Matic on Monday. Since the SLK definitely isn’t a winter car I was shopping for a more practical replacement and thought I’d found a suitable sedan when Laura spied the GLK sitting on the showroom floor. Well as the saying goes, the rest is history

Fortunately as Benz’s go, the GLK is pretty reasonably priced and we were able to get a great deal. Plus, MB-USA was offering 1.9% financing AND making the first two monthly payments which equated to an effective interest rate of negative 1.8%.

At 4,200 lbs, the GLK is built like a tank but can still hustle 0-60 in 6.5 secs. Of course the downside of moving that much mass that fast is a not-to-be-bragged-about mpg rating (est 18 mpg combined)

As you would expect in a Benz, the GLK has comfort, safety and convenience all in spades. There are too many bells and whistles to name but the “panoramic sunroof” is definitely a nice feature.

Unfortunately, other than bringing it home from the dealer, I've yet to drive it. But that's okay; the F-XT has now reverted to being my daily driver so I'm not complaining.

A bunch of trucks and rebodied Fiats, sounds like.

Can't be worse than the Caliber.

That sounds like a pretty sweet ride, Frank; the Mercedes version of a Forester!

Congrats.

Thanks Wes. Although the GLK’s looks are somewhat polarizing, personally I like its boxy shape and then found out why when I read Edmunds’ review where they compared it to the last generation Forester (of which I’ve had two)

I'll just say that it looks nothing like any other MB I have seen, but I do like the looks of it - it almost reminds me of a Jeep.

I have never seen one in person.

The Abarth will the first out of the gate.
