You will not find a good lease now on any truck...Rams will not have a good residual, which along with money factor, is the key driver on lease payment.

When the truck you lease is worth 70% less by lease end, you have to pay for that in your lease.

If you look at my other posts here the Dodge Ram has a very inflated msrp. $12000 off msrp was the standard mediocre deal for the last 4-5 years or so. If you look up the used 08 value of a truck like your $43000 number you may find it is about $22000.(kbb.com) A $35000 deal may have you eating almost $13000 to drive an average truck the 1st 12 months. (the most expensive). This is totally uncool for an average truck, especially in a recession.

Try to get 20 bids (dodge website (150 mi radius) last week of the month on a purchase (with your financing, shop around) And a lease. (no money down, 36months or so 15000 miles/yr). You should get about 2-4 dealers to bid several rounds for a 3 or so days. The lease is the easiest, lowest payment under the mentioned terms wins.

Good luck

To anyone out there who's purchased a new Ram 1500 crew cab. Is it a safe bet to assume a total discount of $13,000.00 off msrp if the true window sticker is in the $45,000.00 range? If not what have you paid?

why would you assume that? i just went to a dealer in central jersey and he said that the only incentives that they are offering are $3000 rebate, $1000 customer loyalty. so i cant see him dropping the price another $9000, but if thats going on sign me up and i'll be right there.i priced a new 1500 hemi crew cab at $43,000 msrp online, if a dealer told me i can have it for $30,000($13,000 lower) i would go there tonite with cash in my pocket.

Read a few of my previous posts. If an 08 used Ram like your 09 new 45000 jobbie has a trade in value of about $23000 or such,(kbb.com), I personally wouldn't get a ticket driving to the dealer for $13000 off.

Good luck

Before the employee pricing expired May 4th, it was easy to find an SLT for $13,000 off as employee pricing + $2500 rebate + 0% apr was available. Now $10,000 off MSRP is the best I'm reading about. I'd say take your deal.

If you looking for a diesel, there are still plenty of deals on 2009 Ram 2500 & 3500 models at more than $12,000 off if you qualify for the discounts.

Are you adding financing "potential savings" to that $13k. I don't recall that deep a discount last month.

new qoute by stmfttr05

just got a qoute from a dealership 40 miles away from me in another state. they would build me my truck which includes
1500 hemi 4x4 crew cab sport deep water blue,
uconnect tunes
3.92 axel
remote start and security
leather seats
class 4 hitch
25L package

msrp: $44,775

invoice:$40,486

rebates: -$4000

final msrp: $36,486 + taxes and tags and title fees

now whats pissing me off is i emailed 20 dealerships within 40 miles and the only one that is in a diffrent state is willing to build my truck and is giving me $8,300 off msrp.8 of the other ones that responded to me keep pushing trucks that dont come even close to what i want and there starting price is higher than what the dodge website says should be and they are only giving $4000 off the msrp. most of the dodge dealerships wont do anything to sell their trucks, then they wonder why the companies is having financial problems.

btw the qoute i got was given to me without any haggaling, which in my mind means that the dealership is still making a healthy profit. and no the dealership is not one of the ones that is closing down, none of the ones i emailed are on the list to close.

The $2500 rebate got it to $13,000 off MSRP.
