Everything I have read says the driving position is much better on the '09s.

I do not feel that you would find the 2009 Corolla comfortable for seating. I own one, and I can say that. I personally can live with it, especially with cruise control, but I think that if a person has had trouble in the past being comfortable in the 2007 Corolla that the 2009 will present the same challenges, even automatic. It's taken me a week to find the right position that doesn't tweak my back a bit. I believe the telescopic steering wheel placement is standard on all models, so that may help a bit. There may be reviews talking about improvements, and those comments would be worth seeking out. I also did not drive the 2007 Corolla, so I can't make the direct comparison that you can make. Test drive sounds like a good plan to me.

My girlfriend and her mom are in the process to buy a corolla, it is there first car and the dealer called requesting proof of income, proof of residency, and 5 references because it is there first car, does this sound normal? i dont know im just very skeptical of dealers

Need Help !! ASAP on 09 Corolla LE in SF Bay Area !!

Looking for 09 Corolla LE , MSRP=$16750

After few options (CL Cruise Control,KE Keyless Entry,CF Carpet Floor Mats,FE 50 State Emissions) = $18164 on the window sticker

what should i start negotiate? if they say they will sell at 1000 above invoice , does it mean $16400+$1000=$17400

what would you guys start negotiate?
also ,
Residual Value= 61%, but is it 61% of MSRP+options $18164 in the following example? or 61% of invoive price $16400? or without option $15158 ?

CR model says you should start negotiations for this Corolla LE with keyless entry and cruise control and mats at $15,540. And, you should end up paying $15,950 to $16,370. If you look through former posts you will find lots of this configuration selling for $16100-$16200, so I am sure that is right at the spot you want it. Hope that helps.
