| Wanted a 2009 Corolla XLE fully loaded, all dealers in the Lehigh Valley section of PA area have few 2009 Corollas let alone a XLE loaded. They tell me Corollas are flying out the door. Dealers don't get many XLE's anyway. Most people(unlike me) just move up to the Camry if they want a Toyota equipped well. I, on the other hand, prefer to stick with a Corolla for it's economy and then get it loaded the way I want. They said they would try to locate one from another dealer but basically I just think they just ordered one for me. I wanted moon roof, spoiler, stability control, JBL sound system, alloy wheels, body side moldings, mudguards and carpeted floor mats. Ordered it for around $500.00 under TMV or $1000.00 under MSRP. Not the best deal but the best I could do. | |

That is more than $1400 less than the deal I am getting. I do understand that people are talking more about gas saving cars. On the other hand, the dealers are overplaying it too much - no matter how you try to bargain, their response is always about gas saving !! I am trying to get a feeling of what offers others are getting in california, specifically the bay area. Any help there is greatly appreciated.

I was made an offer over email for a 2009 Corolla with an MSRP of $16909. I wasn't given any additional info, but according to Edmunds, this MSRP happens to correspond to a base model with AT, mats, and destination charge. The price I was given was $14999 (there was some sort of dealer discount of $1910). If it is indeed a base model AT with mats, is this a good price for this car? According to Edmunds, this is below invoice.

Just spoke with Don McGill Toyota in Houston. The guy in fleet refused to take 1 penny off sticker price. Said that is what they are going for. Not even a thought to pay sticker for me. May have to start looking for another brand.

Well after 2 weeks of emails and phone calls, I bit the bullet and purshed a 2009 corolla LE, classic silver metallic with cruise,keyless entry,window tint,floormats and vehicle shield protection.The window tint is a 279.00 option.Was told it was done in Houston right off the ship from Japan. I paid 19,000.00 OTD.Tax title and all other fees was around 1340.00.It was the best I could do in the Dallas area.I bought from Toyota of Plano salesman name Faz.I have a feeling that good deals are a thing of the past.If you can get one your very lucky. After getting the price quote via the phone I drove down to purchase the gas sipper.The made in Japan Corolla arrived at the dealership on an 18 wheeler the same time I did.The salesman and myself got in right after the truck driver unloaded it,drove to his office and completed the deal in 45 min. The next day I traded the 15" firestone tires for 16" Kumo Soulus HP4 716 P/205/60r tires and had them mounted on a set of Voxx monza 670-5001-38-bmp aluminium alloy wheels black.The tradeing of tires and purshase on the wheels was at Discount Tire not far from where I live.OTD wheels and tires 600.00 Very pleased with the ride very smooth and quite.
