Dealers around boston are currently advertising a Corolla CE for 11,749 + taxes, tags, docs, and registration fees. Is this a good deal? Do you think it is a bait and switch? |

Okay, here is my purchase: 2003 Corolla LE 5-speed Leather Combo CD/Tape Etched windows (VIN) Tape stripes Tinted glass Cruise Mats I think thats all. Stickered for $17,300, paid $15,033 after $1000 rebate (I think that may be a Gulf States Toyota deal only, but not sure). It came in a $500 below sticker. After making the deal, I asked him how much I left on the table, and he said about $350, but they did not figure in the tinted windows, and they gave me 100 free oil changes to boot, so I am very satisfied with the deal. |

NY area. I have been researching a Corolla S for over a month now. I am fed up with going to dealers. I was supposed to get this "no haggle" "discount" pricing through my credit union. I was quoted 16,425 before tax & title. Carsdirect quoted me at 15,641. Do they normally get the price that they quote you at? Any comments about your experiance with using carsdirect? any and all help is appreciated. |

Options: - Automatic transmission - Lunar Mist metallic - PP (Power Package) - CL (Cruise Control) - SS (Aluminum Alloy Wheels) - DZ (Deluxe AM/FM/CD radio) - Z1 (Floor mats, trunk mat, cargo net) - Lifetime free oil changes (up to 4 every year) Requested internet quotes from three different dealers. Received replies within two hours. Pitted two dealers against each other. Haggled for a total of about 15 minutes on the phone and received a written quote via e-mail by the lowest bidder. Hello A friend of mine from NY tri-state area is about to buy a 03 Corolla LE. I think that she can get it for about invoice, or a little over. Is it correct? I will actually suggest her to do what I did when I was buying my last car: make a take-it-or-leave-it OTD offer. Amount will be calculated as follows: <price of a car> + <extra amount> + <advertising> + <doc fee> + TTL <price of a car> already includes all options and destination charge. My question is: how much should be <extra amount>? Also, please let me know if Corollas are selling for under invoice or there are cash incentives that I am not aware of. I assume my friend will qualify for 0% financing, which certainly helps a lot. Thank you for your help. |
