Replying to: tim99 (Oct 27, 2005 9:59 am) There have been several times that the brakes start squealing, mainly after it is warmed up. It is not really bothersome, but for a new car (500 miles) it should not do this. We plan on bringing it back to have them look at the brakes. I think it is mainly the rears. I did add my own trim kit to it as I did not care much for Volvo's body kit. The German firm Heico makes a "sportier" looking kit. Front and rear facias are much nicer and especially with the rear exhausts. I also had the black sills painted the same as the body color so it is not the 2 tone look. All this for about the same as the same cost as you pay for the extra Volvo body kit. There is a U.S. distributor for the Heico kit and a good body shop will install and paint it.

Replying to: cosanostra (Nov 12, 2005 6:27 pm) We ordered a V50 from Osan Korea and had it delivered to Hawaii. The only problem was the delay. We ordered in October and didn't get the car until late March. Some of this was the additional time to Hawaii, but that only took 5 days. Our experience was good, but the delay is something you really need to plan for. The price btw was awesome compared to what we would have paid by buying in Hawaii. It was totally worth it! |
