Lok9888 ... that Tornado thing is a piece of crap it does not work many of the people at the Ranger forum ( I have a Ranger as well )have tried that and returned it because it did not work or it screwed up the Emission control sensors.  That Cobra-sor site... I went up there to see the accessories. Some nice items I would be interested in the step bars or step rail. It looks like that they are a German Company and I wonder if you can order from them.

Tanks for the link Steve, that clears my doubts..    Hciaffa, I believe nowadays international shopping is no big deal but I do not know, maybe they have a local distributor for those neat accesories..

hicaffa - I just looked at the Sorento accessories brochure. Kia has the side steps for the Sorento. But I am still looking for the running boards. And I think mdsorento posted the discussion about tornado and not me. Anyway, I don't believe these aftermarket stuffs (tornado, K&N Filter, Z-Max, etc.) anymore. They look good on the TV commericals. But it's just waste of money.

I checked in with Weather Tech and those mats are not really a custom fit. You have to trim or cut to fit either the heavy rubber or carpeted mats and the rear mats are a universal style and the dimensions given by them is much smaller than the ones we have in our Sorento(they are quite large as they go under the front seat by some inches). They going to come out shortly with a true fit mat. We will have to keep checking. You could do what I probably plan to do. The cost of those mats are more than buying a new set of real mats at the dealer($80) and you don't pay shipping and just swap for the seasons. lok888....sorry I got my postings mixed on the tornado item. The K&N filter does work but the horse power gain is not that drastic. It does allow the engine to breath better but the problems many have is when they go to clean a the filter and re-apply the oil they put to much and it really messes up the MAS sensor creating problems with the engine.

I am interested in the side steps as well. Better footing entering and exiting the Sorento. Asmy wife has arthritis of the kness so it be better for her. If you get any infoon these pleas post it. I will.do the same. also for got to mention that its been over a week and I have not received any response from KIa on a question. About if the leather seats are all leather or just the inserts on the top and back. My dealer really could not answer the question. Anyone have any idea.

An EX with all the trimmings for $1500 below MSRP at Connell Auto in Oakland CA. Forget about trying online quotes, they are a waste of time. Had to hold the line through not to many games, generally a good experience. The Oct. demand coupled with the west coast dock strike had put visions of sugar plums dancing in dealers heads. Window sticker had $8000 over MSRP if you can believe it. But it seems demand has fallen off a cliff in the last month or so. And from my suriptious take on the manager's sales board that's true across the brands. So far everything with my KIA seems fine, but I'll keep y'all informed in thanks for the help you gave me. Only hitch was that dealer said the mudguards aren't available yet.

Right now the accessories available are sunroof deflector, hood bra, hood bug and stone deflector, cargo tray, window vent visors and mudguards. I purchased all the items except the sunroof deflector and hood bra. I have only installed the muguards. Simple enough to do. Look at the mudguard and figure which screws to remove and install. The other items such as window vents and front hood deflector require adhesive tape to be used and the weather is to cold for the recommended installation. Talk to the parts guy he should be able to get what you need.

I have installed the mud guards (which should be bigger for an SUV) and they look nice, Also put the hood cover on, it looks great! I took off the two cross rails from the roof rack, I don't use the roof rack anyway, gave it a sporty look, next I will purchase the vent visors and am waiting for the side steps to become available. I do recommend everyone to check out the Sorento at www.Cobra-sor.com. It looks great!! Too bad we can't get that stuff here. I love the 18" wheels on it, and I am thinking of putting something like that on my Sorento EX. This vehicle looks great accesorized !!!

All this time, I have only seen 2 Sorentos on the road. The two I saw was in March 2002, around the auto show season, and those two were masked up. Where are they? They are selling all of these vehicles, and none of them are showing up on the road...I'm beginning to wonder whether any of them exist!
