I called Kia about the Load Leveling since there is nothing of it on the manual. They called me back and said that the load leveling works within the shock absorbers. they said the pumping action of the car on the absorbers bring them to a predetermined level...    On our EX 4x4 luxury pack i've noticed that an start there is the 4x4 light that looks like 4 wheels and the transfer case, it goes off with all the rest. I think there is no use for this light in the 4x4 with lux pack, it should be on if 4hi engaged on regular 4x4.. does anybody knows???

If you put it in 4wd LO range, to indicate you shouldn't be driving on dry pavement with it.   -mike

#1452 - Documents fee: At $498, it seems as if Holler KIA is VERY much on the high side. I had to dig out our records to confirm that yes, we were only charge $45.00 for Doc fees at Florin Road KIA in Sacramento, CA.   #1457: nrooks, no vibrations of the sort you described. There was an occasional soft, rapid rattling noise coming from the luggage area. I finally isolated it to the luggage cover, which I did not properly seat in those two half-grooves.   #1467: mdsorento, thanks for the info about the auto load leveling. I couldn't find any reference to it in the manual either. Sales and Service at our dealer told us the same thing - namely that it works all by itself. Reassuring that you heard this directly from KIA.

There is a "4low" light, which turns on if I set the knob to low but in auto there should not be any lights, ( none turn on in mine). There is another light that looks like a plan view of the wheels that comes on when starting the car, it is used on the standard 4x4 when is set on 4HI, but I think it has no use on the EX with TOD... I do not know why they left this light on this model..

It doesn't light up when you put it in 4-low? I bet it blinks if there is a problem with the transfer case then? Just throwing out some ideas here.   -mike

mikesf - I will look at the site. Which model you have? mdsorento - I hope Kia can tell us more about automatic load leveling. And I think there should be light to indicate when the feature is on. The sale and service didn't tell much about it except it will help when loading heavy stuff and towing. And, I don't see any light on when driving on a dirt road (with stones and small rocks) with the 4WD "Lo" turn on.

The light I'm refering to is to the left of the seatbelt warning light. To the right of the seatbelt light is the "4 low" light which works fine, it comes on when I turn the knob to "low". The one on the left comes on when starting the eng, and then goes off.         I called Kia Customer Service today about the seatbelt warning light, they said it has to work as described in the manual. I have not been back to the dealer yet, but i'll be there tomorrow. They also said they are going to see with the factory tech if there has been any mods but there were not any known to her.

Just curious, not many pictures out there of the different colour combinations on the luxury model. Does anyone have the beige or black model? Do the fender flares in a different colour look bad? Any one want to post some pics?
