I think you will see a redesign of the area causing the most concern with the solstice...and that is the differential.....instead of a parts bin one....think they should proceed as Mazda did and design the drive train specifically for the car...IMHO.....though we still love this car....had it 7 months now....12K on it.... |

I just purchased a 2007 Soltice and love everything about it. I have only had it for a day and realized that in the options I choose the dealer failed to add one of them (Anti-lock brakes). I have the orgional options/package sheet they printed out for me which should have included the anti-lock brakes but they failed to deliver. Where do I go from here? Do I call Pontiac? Is it possible for the dealership to correct their mistake and add/install anti-lock brakes? Could the dealer order another one (which will take years to come in) and replace the one I'm driving now? This dealship has been an aweful experience and they will not recieve any future business and I will stress to my friends and family not to do business with them. If anyone has ever had this happen to them before and might have advice please help. Thank you very much!

Next I would ask them to do a search to find you a car as close as the one you ordered and get it for you. They are still in short supply but they are starting to fill the pipe line a bit so that many dealers now have a couple in but you may have to reorder. If you do reorder you need to get yourself to the front of your dealerships line. Demand this. I would also call Pontiac and state your issue. they mnay be able to put your car higher in priority at the plant. |

Replying to: buddylee7 (Jul 23, 2006 8:16 pm) either way..depends on the documentation you have and what you signed that will give you some or any leverage in this issue.....most dealers require you to review and sign the original order....did you? you could do as suggested..have the dealer search for another that may come close..or simply order a new one....but could prove more hassle than worth....if you have the docs above the show the dealer didnt enter the order correctly...you might be able to get a comp accessory or too depending on your relationship with the dealer....dont work with your salesman...go to the sales manager or inventory control manager with this issue.... good luck |

I just moved in from Europe and checked the solstice which in the 2 places I visited so far is selling between 2500 and 6500 $ over the msp. Is this normal? I've never seen this anywhere in Europe.
