#9799 of 10000 Leased Camry SE 2012

Guys just wanted to share my story..
I leased a toyota camry in spetember 2012. Pretty happy with the car so far.
I dont drive much so lease made sense. Toyota is giving very good lease options. FYI I haggled a lot (initial quote they gave was like 200per month with 2500 down)
I got the lease for 240$ per month (including taxes) with 24000 miles for 2 years (0 down payment).
All title/registration fees was paid by the dealer. So I just paid 240$ and took the car home. PAid 20 buck for getting the registration and thats it. I live in Atlanta.
Now, I would be paying about 6000 $ (there is 350$ fees that toyota charge at the end of the lease) which I think is a decent deal.

#9801 of 10000 What to expect in terms of deal on Dec 31st
by danielraj

Being at the end of the month and the year, Do customers get a better deal by default? Are dealers in panic to sell something quick, it being the 31st?
Any other advice for those going to shop on 31st? Any specific tactics that will be helpful on the customer's side?
thanks
Dan.

#9803 of 10000 How to use Consumer Reports to find the best price to bargain?

lepton2,
You mentioned $1000 cash incentive on the 2012 models right now and also holdback of $495 on the XLE 4 cyl.
I followed your suggestion and signed up for CR.. but I am not able to see the above #s you are mentioning.. Can you kindly suggest where to look in the website for Camry 2012 XLE with options (Convenience, Leather, Nav) with $29,570 MSRP.?
All that it is saying is "Configured MSRP: $29,570 Potential Savings: $1,958 Target Price: $27,612. A potential savings of $1,958 (6.62%) off MSRP of $29,570"
Thank s
Dan.

Is that MSRP or OTD? If OTD, it may be high.

#9806 of 10000 Best price on Camry XLE with leather heated seats?
by pat978
Dec 31, 2012 (12:39 am)
I live in New England and was quoted ~$25K OTD on a Camry XLE with leather heated seats. Anyone have any thoughts on this price? I think it is still too high as the 2013 Camry's are now arriving at dealerships. Thanks.
I used kbb.com and edmunds to try to find the best info on pricing, but then stumbled onto www.truecar.com which gives you the three lowest quotes in your area (a good starting point, I guess). The best thing about this site is the ability to find the invoice price vs MSRP for the car's base cost and options. It would be nice to get info on givebacks and other incentives too, but I think you can only find that on CR if you pay for the additional service. Camry holdbacks seem to differ based on options...I got some dealer paperwork that showed $575-$600 on holdbacks and ~ $300 in additional incentives.
