leasing questions? by dfwdriver

Interested in special leasing deal from gulf state toyota. the deal is 179/month for 36 months 12k miles for year with 2100 due at signing. My questions is this a good deal?

When I asked a dealership here in texas for the deal, he tells me that I need to bring in 3.1k for the deal. Another told me 4.3k. These are the same base camry without add on. I have asked them to forward me the print out detailing the numbers but none has done so. In addition to first months lease, are there any addition fee that I should expect when leasing? Thank you all in advance.

2010 Camry Quotes/Price/Rebate question by corolla_e11

Grettings,

Due to family growth we need more room + safety therefore I'm looking for a new 2010 Camry to replace my 2008 corolla.

I'm located in Austin Texas and I'll like to know what people in this area are paying currently (Price/rebate/APR_%).
The current best deal here in Austin is charles Maund Toyota with $3.000 ($2.500 Dealership + $500 Toyota) off on all inventory models OR 0.0% APR for 36 months (outch the montly payments!) OR 2.9% APR for 60 months.

My questions:
 1) - Does any one knows a better deal?
 2) - Is It usual to buy in other city in texas (Houston, Dallas) If i have there a better deal and want to car to be register on me leaving in Austin? Sorry for the question but comming from oversee and leave here only 1 year ago

The other point where we are not sure currently is with the timing to buy. Now we know that we need a "better" car safety wise sooner or later and we'll like not continue to pay in the 2008 corolla we've financed.

The only problem is "may be" waiting for thanksgiving/Xmas deals. There may be or not a better deals on 2010 camrys (looking into 0.0 % for 60 months + [MRSP -$ dealer's Rebate]). This will help break even on what we've already pay into the 08 corolla to minimize/reduce our lost in depreciation and the sooner we take the decision (buy; means not putting money in the corolla) then less is the money lost and we can still trade It in in the right time the get the most of It.

I'll to get your inputs/advice regarding this situation.

Question 3) - Do you think Toyota will increase the rebate, curently $500 on 2010 camry after 11/02/2009 with respect to the economy (less car sales for oktober)? I know this is gambling; They may increase the rebate to $1.000 but the dealership could cut the current $2.500 incentives.

I'll like to hear your thoughts how you will go ("gamble") on this.

BTW: I test drove the 2010 Camry LE and the 2010 Honda Accord LX-P.You can't really compare those 2 vehicles.
The Camry is very smooth, great acceleration and oh my good the breaks; It breaks like a BMW. Very quiet and comfortable. The only pro for the accord is the sport suspension and very noisy car.

Thanks so much for your inputs and advices.

Hi smallpurpose,

First a quick question 0.0% for 38 months or 60 months and what is the monthly payment.

Looks like you got $3000 Off the MSRP; 2010 Camry LE AT is praised here in Austin/TX for $24.800. On the top of that 21625 with 0.0% down seem to be OK do.

I'm also looking for a 2010 carmy If I could have 0.0% for 60 months after $3.000 on MSRP then I'll get home with a new 2010 Camry.

See another thing is It may be a good deal for know but with the thanksgiving/XMas sales (hopefully that what I'm looking at right know) thinks may change, even more deal or worst: less deal.

Also where are you located?

Thanks for sharing the info!

I'm also looking for a 2010 LE - in the S. Cal area.

I've been quoted: 21,343.00 or $300 over the claimed invoice which includes:

Total Accessories (mats?)................: $ 200.00
Destination Charge ..........................: $ 750.00
TDA .........................................: $ 265.00
Gasoline ....................................: $ 10.20
Dealer Holdback .............................: $ 438.00
Whsl. Financial Reserve .....................: $ 219.00

I've read some of these charges are bogus on some forums, and not on others. Is this a good price?

I'll probably finance.

I'm in Austin as well. Plan to buy in Houston (waiting to see if my dad can get the clean air rebate). Austin/RoundRock price are $300-600 higher than Houston. RoundRock matched Houston after I told them what I got. If you don't mind driving to Dallas or Houston to save a few hundreds. I suggest you do so. I'm going to Houston at least once a month so I have no problem.

I am Charlotte, NC. The dealerships here provide finance through SouthEast Toyota Finance http://www.setf.com . So we had 0/36, 0/48 and 1.9/60 options and I took the 0/48 option. Check http://www.buyatoyota.com to see specials across different regions. In any case, to take advantage of the 0%/ APR for 48 months, I had to give back $500 of the dealer cash. I could have done better on my purchase by shopping at other dealers in nearby cities but I was just lazy driving 100 miles and this particular dealership is only 5 mins from my home. So it will be easy for my spouse to get the oil change done while getting a free manicure. Yes the price includes free manicures and lifetime warranty on the car after the 5yr/50K toyota warranty expires.

The best for you is to shop shop atleast online price quotes and see which dealer can provide a better deal with the combination of APR and $$ off of MSRP.

Honda dealers wanted $1500 dealercash back in lieu of 1.9% honda finance for 2009 models and they aren't bargaining on the 2010 models yet. Anyways, I thought camry was a good buy and I am enjoying the bluetooth option in my car.

Good Luck to you.

Hi Tomken,

thanks for the quick response.

Great to hear that It's possible. I mean I don't mind to travel to other cities here in Texas to save some bugs, cost me $40 for gas. Not a big deal.
