Check out Elgin Toyota. They did well by me on 2 cars, and have a good service department.

2009 Camry LE Certified Used OHIO by KevCamry

I just purchased a 2009 certified used carmy le with 18,100 miles for $17,350 minus $3,000 for trade in of a 1999 camry ce with 109,000 miles broken mirror, hail damage, exhaust leak, dent on side of car, damaged front bumper, and windows that roll down but not back up. So the total was $14,350 before tax title. Was this a good deal? The list price was $19,959 but im sure that doesnt mean anything. Can anybody tell me if I got a good deal? Thanks

No...not really. Brand new '09 Camry LE can be easily had for 18.5K and you've got a used Camry with 18100 miles for about 1K less. Not a good deal in my book.

Thats disappointing. Oh well, this was my first car purchase, I will try to do better next time. My reason for going with that toyota dealership is that they were giving me $3000 for my trade in. the second closest offer I received was $1600. I mean the car was really in horrible shape. So you are saying I should have bought a brand new camry from that same dealership? I guess I need to do more research on how to talk these guys down.

You may not be stuck. See if your state has a 3 day right of rescission law which applies to vehicle purchases. If they do then you legally have until Tuesday, December 9th to take your car back and get a new one with no penalty. The reason they allowed you so much on your trade was because they had the certified car marked WAY too high. The NC dealers are selling the low mileage 2009 certified LE Camry cars at $16900. I was thinking every state had the 3 day right of rescission but I could be wrong. Definitely check on it. The other person was correct that you should be able to get a new LE Camry for $18500 plus fees. Hope this helps.

I am looking in the Northeast for a fairly basic LE with automatic. One dealer has offered the car before tax, title etc. for an amount that's pretty much at the Edmund invoice price, which happens to be $1000 less than the Edmund TMV since the $1000 rebate is no longer shown.

I'm not too familiar with Toyota historical prices. Given the glut of cars on the market today, is the Edmund invoice price a fair price? I'd like to get the car soon, but don't want to overpay.

Thanks.

Ok final question. I am asking this question to all who would respond. Would you purchase a 2009 used certified carmy le 4 cylinder for $14,350 with 18,100 miles or a 2008 used non certified carmy V6 for $13,200 with 28,000 miles. These were the two offers I had to choose between. Thanks

PS- if neither is a good deal you can say that aswell.. The price of the 2009 before my trade in was 17,350. The price of the 2008 was 14,800

PSS- What would you say the value of getting a certified used toyota is over a non certified toyota
