Oh, I guess they changed it. Last week Saturday's paper showed $16,999 for LE. I guess Northridge Toyota is not doing it anymore. Try Hooman Toyota of Long Beach. Every week, five Camry LEs are selling for $17,388, starting on Saturday morning.

Getting the best deal by ralphuco

Here's the method which has worked the best for me: I e-mail about five or six dealers (you may obtain more in a large metropolitan area) in my area and ask them for the price on a specific car which I have identified from either their online site or from a Sunday visit to their lot. I ask them to include ALL fees and dealer charges and the destination charge. The TT&L costs can be obtained from the dealer, but I add them in later in my computation of the total cost. In this way I believe that I am comparing apples to apples and there is less likelihood that a charge will be withheld until you go to complete the deal.
How far you are willing to travel is up to you, but if you do go out of your state, you need to confirm that there will be no double sales tax charge. In most cases, you only have to pay your county's sales tax rate, but there are some exceptions.
Your best deal is the one in your area, so someone's deal 2,000 miles away isn't very helpful. The site at carbuyingtips dot com is a good reference source, especially for first time car buyers. Good luck with your bargaining. I'll shortly be in the market again myself.
Anyone find a good deal on an '09 Camry LE I-4 with automatic in the front range of Colorado? Take care.

you can use www.fitzmall.com as a very good negotiating point. They're in G'burg, and show their inventory and no-hassle prices online.

Sorry, I already threw the paper away. Don't despair. Buy two papers this Saturday (LA Times and OC Register). The OC Register gets tons of new car dealer ads every Saturday. Perhaps you will find a Camry LE for $16,999.

Just because you found a LA dealer who is willing to price match doesn't guarantee you will get this price. In my experience, after more than five new car purchases, dealers always say "yes," but finally at the end, it will not be at this exact price you desire. They just want your business. The dealer I bought my Camry from was at Longo Toyota, world's largest Toyota dealer, always say "yes" to ad match, but when you arrive over there, they will find an excuse to raise the price a little, like, (this is the most recent manufacturer's date, this is the only color we have in-stock, this one only has less than 5 miles on the odometer and is not test driven, this is the only Made in Japan Toyota in-stock, this is not the same MSRP, etc...). I fall into the victim of "this is the only Made in Japan Camry in-stock") raising $1,200 more ($18,600) than the ad price I showed to the saleman from Hooman Toyota of Long Beach. I should have rejected this deal, but there was only one Made in Japan Camry LE in silver color existed in the whole Southern California, and I could not go to other Toyota dealers. On the other hand, many previous Longo Toyota buyers did get theirs for less than $17,500 if they did not fall into one of five criterias above.

Good luck and always be alert with dealers' dirty selling practices.

Used Car Price? by reau

I see that some of the new Camry LE prices are going for around $20,000. We are interested in getting a used Camry for our daughter - does this mean that the used prices should drop? Why would I pay $17,000 to $20,000 for a USED one when I can get a new one for a thousand more?

Can not make too much of these prices without the MSRP. Local Sacramento dealers usually list the 4 cylinder Camry Le as MSRP 22344 less dlr savings 3,356 less fact rebate of 500 for sales price of $18,488. Am I right in thinking the factory rebate on the V6 is $1000? Can someone quote an ad from central Calif for V6 LE that includes the MSRP?

You're not going to be able to buy a 2 or 3 years old car after you come to this place. That market is for those suc*ers who like to listen to those lies that you will lose 15% as soon as you drive of the lot. However, they don't tell you that the 15% depreciation is from the MSRP and not the actually selling price.
